My 5 year old nephew loves it!!
Although this says it is for 8 yrs old and up, I bought it for my 5 yr old nephew, who says he wants to be a doctor when he grows up. He was so excited, when he opened it and has played with it everyday since!!I did see a lot of negative reviews, but I bought it anyway and I am very satisfied. The book that comes with it, is very informative and has lots of pictures. Yes, the pieces are small and it is not the best quality, but it is a toy that is perfect for tiny hands and my 5 year old nephew loves it!!

Big hit for my future neurologist son :)
I bought this for my 13 year old son for a Christmas present, but he had a project this week over his future career so I gave it to him early. He LOVED this and it was the hit at school for his display. The top of the skull does NOT go on easily, but for what he needed it for it was fine and the price was reasonable. He really enjoyed the book that goes along with it too which was a good summarized version of what's important and easy to read. He also has the big book from National Geographic, but this is a good quick reference book for beginners.

Great learning tool, a bit difficult to put together
This product is a wonderful learning tool for my 3 year old (yes, I meant 3 year old) daughter. It was a bit hard to put together for the parents, only because the skull pieces sometimes don't fit together perfectly. Other than that, 4 stars for sure. My daughter loves brains and anything gross, so the fun facts and sometimes gross trivia that accompanies it is perfect for her. We have a little doctor in the making, hopefully nothing more sinister, so this caters to her inquiring mind.

Will not stay together.
Purchased this for my 6 year old grandson. The skull does not fit together well - flimsy, very cheap materials, feels like it's going to break. However, he enjoyed playing and feeling the brain parts. Should be prices around $12 - not worth $20+. Instead consider purchasing just a squishy brain, forget this skull - it's frustrating.

This guys brain is bigger than your's, So buy it if you want to be smarter than all your friends.
This guy has a big brain. You can see right through his skull. Had to ask him to wear shades though. His eyes were freekin me out.

GOOD THINKING!
Considering my grandsons received this as a Halloween gift, it was terrific! I like giving toys that are educational as well as fun, so this was just right up my alley. It is sturdy enough so my 6 and 8 year old grandsons can play without breaking it any time soon.
