Q: does this kit come with 2 Deionization Filter

Unger says these come with 2 filter bags so Amazon is taking one out of the deal and selling it at a huge mark up. If you have a Costco membership you can get it through them, with 2 bags, for $160. However, during March it's on sale for only $120. $30 less than here plus you actually get both filter bags!

Q: How many gallons of water will the resin bag process?

In the manual is saying 100 gallons at 200 ppm water hardness. Not 100,000 gallons.

Q: Does anyone know what soap should be used?

I have been using automotive soap that is also spot and streak resistant. Combined with the Unger it gives very good results.

Q: So as to prolong its lifespan, can we only use it for the final rinse instead of pre-rinsing & soaping?

Another option would be to pre filter the water with an rv filter by aquacrest or similar that has a tds rating of at least half of what comes out of the source. I.e. my tap is 177ppm and I’m putting a 20 micron filter on the source before this filter. Should help it last for much longer.
