Love the scent & works for my silk presses (4 type natural hair)
4b-4c curly girl here. My hairstylist uses this brand/products in my hair & she recommended the brand. I can’t use anything with coconut oil in it, as it makes my scalp super itchy. So I found this (it’s similar to a leave in conditioner), and I used this to bring moisture and shine back to my silk press. I love it. I also love the scent of the product. It’s also very lightweight & a little bit of product goes a long way.

Great product.
This is a stepped up version of the cheap curl creams I was getting. Light weight no hard curls. A small amount goes a long way.

Doesn't Weigh Down Thin, Fine Hair; No Residue
I've used several products from the Authentic Beauty Concepts line and found the Hydrate (blue) suits my hair needs best. I have naturally red, non-color-treated, long, thin, fine, lifelessly flat hair. I don't have any scalp conditions like dandruff or psoriasis, but the "for dry hair" blue line seems to suit me best.I like ABC as they pride themselves on being vegan, cruelty-free, without using microplastics, mineral oil, parabens, silicones, and sulfates. They do add fragrance to their products, but they are naturally derived and often pleasant. The focus ingredient in the blue line is basil. You sense a mix of it and something lightly floral. Usually, I hate fragrances in my hair and skincare. ABC manages to make the scents they formulate subtle, suitable, and not sickening and perfumy.I don't tend to heat style often, but there are times I don't want to go to bed with damp hair. Because of my experience with this brand, I got the Hydrate Lotion (5oz for $28 as of this writing). I wanted something effective and gentle to protect my hair and hoped it would not weigh it down in the process. It has a creamy white color and a lightweight hydrogel texture. After cleansing, you apply (for me) about a nickel-sized amount (enough to adequately cover the hair) and gentle work through your towel-dry locks. Then you blow-dry and style as usual. I can't say how much you should use as it may vary for everyone. I have long but very thin hair, so a nickel is more than enough for me.It seems to protect my delicate locks and manage flyaways without weighing my hair down, assuming I don't overdo the application. No sticky or greasy residue. Given the bottle's size, I think it'll last me (a heat minimalist) several months. I appreciate the easy-to-open and dispense tube. The smell is understated and doesn't linger. The lotion is simple to use and isn't loaded down with unnecessary filler.

Absolutely wonderful on my dry, curly hair! Love it!!!
I’ve been using Saints &Sinners Divine Curl Cream which I love on my dry, curly hair. I got to try this Authentic Beauty Concept (ABC) Hydrate Lotion and I like it more than the Divine Curl Cream. I never thought I would say that because I love that Divine Cream. What I like about the ABC Hydrate Lotion is it make little separate curls that are soft not crunchy hard. Also, there is no silicone (Methicone) like so many hair products. Silicone is just about impossible to get out of my hair and I’m so glad to find a product that smooths like silicone, but without that nasty ingredient.I also really like the scent. I’ve tried some of ABC’s other lines of products, but the light-blue bottle (Hydrate) is by far my favorite scented product line they make. The light-blue Hydrate product has a fruity-floral scent with a touch of vanilla. It is a perfume, but not overpowering to me. I enjoy the smell. I also use their Hydrate Mask (also in light-blue bottle) and it has the same smell only a bit strong.I love the combination of ABC’s Hydrate Mask and this Hydrate Lotion. These products work really good only my curly, dry hair.I think the price of $28 is reasonable for the quality and effectiveness of the product - 5 fl oz. The Saints & Sinners Divine Curl Cream is a little better price at $27 for 6 fl oz. I like to use both and alternate days. I think my hair does better if I don’t use the same product day after day. It’s good to switch things up!I highly recommend this Hydrate Lotion. I am very happy with it!!!

Just enough extra moisture with no added weight
I am a huge fan of Authentic Beauty Concept products. I have yet to try one I didn't love.My hair is kind of a disaster these days, if I'm honest. Thanks to covid, I've only gotten it cut and colored once in the past year. I have tons of split ends. Lots of gray new growth. And remnants of the last color application I had, barely hanging on. I wash it less to try to prolong the life of what color I have left, but because it's curly, I still have to wet it down, reshape it and diffuse it dry daily. Adequate heat protection is necessary but often complicated for hair like mine. My ends are dry and damaged, but too much "moisture" often translates to hair that looks greasy. Not so with this product. This Hydrate lotion is the perfect balance of extra moisture without added weight. My hair looks healthy and hydrated and it's not weighed down at all, so it's still bouncy and fluffy.A little bit goes a long way. I applied this to the bottom 2/3 of my hair before I sectioned it to apply other products. Two dime-sized amounts were enough to coat my hair.I really like this product. I don't often straighten my hair so I don't know how well it would function as a blow-out cream. But for low-heat diffused drying, it's perfect. Highly recommend.

Great for Making your Length Look Even Healthier!
This has a light and clean scent. It is really refreshing/appealing.Moreover, this is not a thick cream that is hard to work evenly through hair. Instead, this is fairly thin. And, if you put a nice size amount in your palm and warm it by rubbing your hands together, the product will become very emollient and super easy to distribute. Now, use this on damp hair for the best results. And, I only use it on the length past my shoulders (since that needs just the smallest amount of attention). The results is frizz-free, so smooth, totally gorgeous hair! This is a phenomenal product for making your length look super healthy! Highly recommended!
