Nice game, well made, good for encouraging team work
Our 4 year old is just getting into board games and we have quite a few competitive games, so we wanted to have at least one where the focus is on working together without a single winner at the end. The game is fun, you have to build a path to collect keys to unlock the treasure before the ogres get to the bottom of the board. It's well made and is good quality cardboard with wooden die, so no plastic counters. My one gripe is that because it has two special die, and I have a four year old who is a bit random and likes to make up her own games, the dice with letters on it has gone missing already (it's probably been used as part of big rabbit's breakfast or in on one of umpteen million sylvanian picnics) and it can't be replaced with a normal dice. Would recommend.

Good cooperative game
The game is well made and we’ll packaged. It uses coordinates to set out the first game pieces which is a nice educational touch. I have played it with my grandchildren: 6,4 and 2. The 2 older ones understood using coordinates once explained and they could all play making a path towards the treasure though the 2 year old needed a little help. Each game lasts no more than 10 minutes. We have played it a lot.

Learning & fun
Bought for my granddaughter's 4th birthday and now played a few times. She is familiar with other competitive and co-operative games and loves this one. It has a good level of new learning: co-ordinates to place the key cards, deciding the best use of the path cards. Also there is excitement each time an ogre card is picked up, especially towards the end as it usually gets to be a tight race. Interesting enough for adults to enjoy too and you can encourage problem solving and decision making discussion around the laying of paths. Good game for families or groups of friends with a range of ages as the older ones can support younger children.

Great for co-operative game play
I bought this as a birthday gift for my 5-year-old nephew. He has since played it a lot with his 7-year-old brother. They both enjoy it, particularly the co-operative aspect. Things can get fractious when they play competitive games, so this first foray into co-operative games has proven very positive. I've played it several times with them and it's a fun game for all the family. It plays out differently every time, which keeps things interesting, while the race to beat the ogres provides an enjoyable level of tension. I would recommend it.

Excellent game
Really pleased with this game. It and the Cauldron Quest game were bought mainly because my grandson is very competitive and gets extremely upset when he loses at anything. So I was looking for something which we could enjoy, without having winners and losers and this fits the bill perfectly. There is still the competitive element, as you’re playing against the game, but everyone is on the same side, and it also encourages them to learn to work together. The rules are simple, but the game is different each time because of the different placing of the keys. Grandchildren are 5, 6 and 7 and all love it.
