I have bought this item after hearing a lot from a friend how cast iron makes a difference in preparing steaks. I was skeptical first, but after trying it for the first time it went very well I underheated the skillet first and didn't manage to get a nice looking steak, but it was tasty and I managed to make it medium-well since first time. Seasoned cookware requires special care compared to regular pots, but it wasn't difficult at all. Bottomline: the pots are good, totally worth it.

Love the item and the quality is amazing the only downside is it's heavy and not good for people with arthritis nonetheless I recommend this because every dishes being cooked in this turns out really delicious. I am happy with this purchase.

Heavy duty cast iron amazing for baking my bread

Loved my pan and look forward to using it for many years. The lid was much heavier than the base and you must take good care of it. It cannot be air dried or else it will rust. As per the instructions it is normal, just gave to wash it off and reseason it. Hope to get the whole set over a period of time though it is expensive.

Having used this skillet and lid twice, it made it easy to cook a Sri Lankan curry over charcoal while camping and was straight forward to clean (with water) and season (with canola oil) without the smell of curry lingering.I did season the skillet twice before using it to reduce the chance of good sticking.

Product is amazing, reduced one star for price.

It’s a beautiful combo set. It serves the daily meal purposes and my family simply love it. I wish I could have brought this many years ago to avoid preparing meals in non stick cookware. I would urge if someone wants to really enjoy a natural way of preparing food in cast iron then you have to have these cookwares. Now I am looking for 7 quart Dutch oven with a lid which can be used as another frying pan.
