This steamer does extremely well for household tasks. It’s not the caliber of a commercial, but neither is the price. Our first task was to get some stubborn pet pee stains off the wood floor. It worked well and amazingly easy. It does say not to used on unfinished wood floors. Oops. Our floors are handmade spruce flooring and the varnish and finish has worn off, which is the reason for the stains. But we are planning on tearing them out and replacing them soon, so what the heck. We steamed them. The stains came out and the room smelled much fresher.We used it on our stovetop. Soooo much easier than scrubbing and scraping.It does take a while for the unit to heat the water and build up pressure. Be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes once turned on before starting to actually use it.The portability is great. It’s small enough to store in the corner of my laundry room, but durable enough to get the job done.

This tool is EXCELLENT on everything I've used it for, literally melts and dissolves grime in seconds. The only downside is that limescale is pretty hard to remove, but it definitely removes mold, mildew, and any other form of staining.If you buy this, grab a large pack of yellow microfiber cloths from costco/sams club/amazon and use them instead of the bonnets. The bonnets are excellent, but the replacement cost is rather high; I love that they give you this option to save some money after the upfront investment.The only downside I've experienced is that my lock to keep the steam on doesn't seem to work, but it will lock to keep the steam off. While somewhat frustrating, the ergonomics of the handle as compared to alternative, handheld models is vastly superior, so it's only a minor issue.Overall, I highly recommend this product. It's practically bullet proof, and does an amazing job. It hasn't COMPLETELY replaced my use of cleaning chemicals, but all I use now is a bit of vinegar/barkeeper's friend/CLR to remove the limescale and everything just sparkles. If you're struggling to keep up with cleaning, I seriously suggest you get a steam cleaner, and this one is an excellent value for money.

Item received promptly and very well packaged. Documentation is limited to a few high quality printed materials, and they point out training videos on Dupray’s website. Steam cleaner canister appears to be of sturdy construction while the included light weight plastic tubes and accessories are a little too lightweight. After several uses I question some of the lack of design features.For the amount and expense I am disappointed that like a certain German made canister vacuum product striving to be “forever better” there is no mechanism to park the handle or floor attachment when not in use. So I’m left to prop the floor attachment against the wall, something else, or lay the handle down on the floor. For the expense, I would appreciate a hook on the canister and floor tool to easily connect to park and stand by the canister. A redesign of the canister handle would allow the parking of the handle tool. An example is the Steamfast SF-275, also sold on Amazon.The handle mechanism plastic feels thin around the adjustment knob. This knob allows the adjustment of the amount of steam being dispensed. At present, everything is working properly though seems like a potential point of failure. Regarding the built-in cord wrap posts, they seem too short to be of good use. Upon unpacking, the cord is neatly wrapped around the canister unit with these posts securely holding the cord in place. Sadly, it is a frustrating exercise to wrap the cord around the canister after use as the cord falls over the short posts. Instead, I fold the cord and wrap the included Velcro strap around it.Overall, I am pleased on how effective the device has cleaned, it is the lack of attention to the above details that are mildly disappointing and the reason of the rating. The price equates roughly to a entry level German vacuum. In my opinion, it feels overpriced with regards to the missing features. It’s those little design features that make this customer go A-Ha and appreciate the quality of the product and manufacturer’s attention to the details.The attached tile photos are of a bathroom. I am very satisfied as to how well the steam cleaner was able to successfully remove the grime that had built up in the grout lines.
