I have a guard for my mandolin that I also use for graters. However, it's too big for me to use on frozen butter and some cheeses. This is perfect! Works great. Excellent finger guard. Easy to wash. Good price, too.

works okay and keeps your fingers away from the grater. I need to cut the pieces I am grating to about 3/4 inch thick to control tool and have a comfortable grip, will not get the very last bit in the tool. it is still useful on some days

Pros: my fingers are protected and it's dishwasher-safeCons: it's a pain to use. I can't figure out how I'm supposed to hold it. The sides continually poke into my skin as I use it, and I have to keep adjusting the food I'm trying to grate.Overall, I will keep it because I don't like bleeding, but it's not the miracle tool I was hoping for.

Bought it to grip butter while I shred it.Doesnt work well with soft cheeses or cold butter.
