Great decaff rich coffee flavour
This arrived very quickly and well packaged. I couldn't wait to try it out. I recently purchased a coffee bean grinder as I love my coffee and wanted to grind my own. I'm very pleased at DDCC's variety of decaffinated blends of coffee. I've ordered a few different blends but this is my first bag of Costa Rica Beans that I've bought. I have served a couple of friends and family today and they all think it's amazing. Did not even know it was decaff. So if you need further endorsement of this my family and friends thought it great. It's perfect for every day serving, tastes smooth and strong, just like a good coffee should be.It is very difficult to review a product that you eat or drink as its all down to personal taste so all I can say is that if you like strong, dark roast coffee with a bitter and fruity edge, then this is one of the best you can get for the price. The fact that it's decaffeinated is a bonus.I loved this coffee and would definately recommend this company to anyone if you want a quality decaff coffee all the flavour with no caffeine at a great price.Hope you found this review helpful!

Worth a try if you need to go caffeine-free
This is my first go with decaffeinated beans (after after my GP recommended me to cut my caffeine intake) - I've tried it in a stovetop Mokka pot and an Aeropress both with some success. I can't taste the depth of flavour that my normal full-fat beans would give but it's a very drinkable brew and, best of all, it doesn't give me that "urgh, decaf" shudder. A good way to reduce the caffeine intake while still having a decent flavoured coffee.

Full flavoured water decafinated beans
These coffee beans are a nice balance for my tase of coffee. I grind the beans coarsely and use a cafetiere to brew the coffee. This gives ma s strong dark coffee. Not sure it would be strong enough for use in an expresso as those beans are normally a darker roast. To my mind it is worth paying the extra to get really good water decaffeinated coffee beans.

Kinda bland... overpriced
Lavazza was out of stock so thought I would give this a go, at pretty much double the price I was expecting a decent flavour. To be honest it wasn't that great. It was okay, unoffensive I guess, but pretty bland and much weaker flavour than lavazza. This was in a bean to cup machine and I tried a finer grind but still not great. I'll go back to lavazza decaff beans, which really is the gold standard at that price point. Next time they are out of stock I'll try something different again.

Exceptional! I can't believe these beans are decaf!
I really didn't expect much from decaf beans, I've tried a different brand before and been disappointed, but oh my goodness! 14g freshly burr ground beans to cup, these are incredible! Better tasting than the rubbish caffeinated beans I bought a couple of weeks ago!! Seriously! If you fancy a late night brew of coffee without keeping you awake or too alert I highly recommend this coffee, absolutely exceptional! If you didn't know it was decaf you wouldn't know, I cannot tell the difference in the taste it is that good! Now I've just got to see if they do a caffeinated version too for work!! WOW! Wonderful!

Nice light coffee
Nice coffee, clean taste, nice sniff (bit technical there but that's for the coffee buffs amongst us). I liked it but for me it's not quite strong enough without having to use large quantities of the stuff. I like mine a bit darker roast. That said it's a nice light drink.

I'm a decaf Newbie... but I think I've hit the ground running with this one.. Really good.
I really like this product. The beans have been decaffeinated using water processing only, no chemicals. Pack contained Strictly High Grown (above 4,500ft) 100% arabica Costa Rican beans, (roasted strength 4) and sent out in a valve bag, which still had a good vacuum, packed recently; the beans looked evenly roasted, smelt and tasted good when I nibbled one (yeah, I know, I've got some seriously weird habits)....I've ground these espresso fine for Aeropress and stove top, and slightly coarser for French press and they've given a very good coffee - this Costa Rica bean is full of flavour, rich and nutty, I can't tell the difference between this and a caffeinated CR.Decaffeinating it doesn't seem to have spoiled it, there's no loss of quality. If I have any preference, it's the Aeropress method, the 4 strength seems to suit it better, acidity wise, than the stove pot and I get more of the flavours. French press on a medium grind is good, too.I'm new to decaf, so I'm looking forward to trying more of this Company's products. Five stars at the moment, but I've got a lot of "exploring" on the decaf front still to do - if after a few go rounds with other brands, this isn't still standout, I'll revise and update. It's nice to be able to drink good coffee without overdosing on caffeine and getting all headachy and jiggly. Means I can drink more. Yay.

Average Quality high price
Very expensive beans and obviously pretty old from the dryness and the colour. Very bland taste. Complete waste of money. They must be the most expensive poor quality beans out there. We won't be buying again
