Works; keeps fruits & veggies fresh longer
This is the second group of these we've purchased. They really do work. They trap the ethylene and keep food fresh longer. The package contains a variety of sizes to accommodate various items. We use these for bananas, fresh vegetables and fruits. Each bag is used multiple times. We will use these for many months.

These are magical!
I don't know how and I don't understand the technology behind these bags, but they are seriously magical. Every week I buy bananas and a bag of avocados and I place my barely ripe bananas in one of these bags and they will stay the exact same consistency all week long when I put them in one of these bags. I leave the bananas together (I don't separate them) and I prefer my bananas just barely ripe - right after they turn yellow from being green on top and they will stay firm all week in the fridge inside one of these bags. Being in the fridge, sometimes they do turn black on the outside, but they are not mushy or brown one bit on the inside when I place them in these bags. Same with avocados. Some weeks we go through avocado very quickly and other weeks I will buy a bag of avocados and they will last me 2-3 weeks. I normally let them get ripe on my kitchen counter first, and as soon as they are ripe and ready to eat I place the bunch in one of these bags and place it in the fridge and it will last me WEEKS in the fridge. I am amazed everytime I get an avocado out of the fridge from a week ago and they are still firm, green, fresh and flavorful.... no brown marks, no mushy avocado. These bags are magical and I highly recommend them to anyone who can't eat fruit fast enough. Simply place your fruit in one of these bags and put it on your counter or in the fridge and you will get 3x more longevity out of your produce than without using them!

Amazed
12 days in & I'm hooked. I go to produce every week & still get spoiled items. Too many on a fixed income but fresh produce is important to skip each day.I bought my norm and am still stunned. 2 heads of iceberg lettuce, 2 because I wanted to test the bags and as of today the last of the lettuce on day 12 was still crisp. No slimy outside to peel away wasting half a head over a few days.Fresh bananas are usually inedible by day 5. I even tried the tin foil on the stems thing but still throw away too many bananas. The bananas wre still perfect on day 10. A few brown spots on the skin but the inside was perfect. Sodt & firm. Same result with nectarines, peaches, green peppers, cucs & tomatoes. I'm excited about tomatoes because I only buy 4 a trip so I don't waste em. 11 days before a soft spot. Granted a few were not quite ripe but after 2 days on the window sill, they went in a bag. I kept avouding em because I wanted to see how long they'd last.☆☆☆☆These cost 19.99 for 30 bags and each bag is reusable up to 10 time. Rinse with hot water(no soap) and air dry. I figure if you can use them 2x you've already saved enough in produce but they're good for 10. Only minor thing is veggies with a high water content such as lettuce and peppers have accumulated water in the bag. I was on the website and saw a hack for that. Just put a paper towel in each bag. Just fold your bags over and dont overpack em & don'tstack em. The gasses can't escape the bag if they're on top of each other. A medium held 6 peaches. Maybe 2 sheets for lettuce and such. Just put in a new towel if its damp when you open the bag.Accumulated water will rot the veggies.Verdict, I'm hooked and it takes alot to surprise me but these did.20 bucks got me enough bags for years( somewhere around 6yrs) & I figure I used to throw away at least $5 each trip. That $5 will now be goung in my grandaughters acct. 20 bucks doesn't seem alot but it ads up. Its $240 a year. Sounds like a bargain to me. I think I'm gonna try going to produce every 10 days and see how I make out.Sorry if I sounded like a infomercial but I wanted to give a real person review. don't buy the knockoffs. I had no success with 2 brand b4 I gave in and ordered these.

Works well with most, best if
Works really well with most veggies and fruits. Great with avocados. Not so good for bananas, I only buy bananas if they are still green. I will try to store bananas in refrigerator and see if that way they work better. Update, I found that if I wrap a paper towel around the fruit like grapes, blueberries..they last a long time! I had grapes in one bag for almost a month. Also works well with fresh broccoli. The paper towel absorbs the moisture from the fruit. Even better if you change the paper towels. I let the towels dry and re-use to clean up spills etc. I place all of them in the refrigerator.

Long Live Debbie Meyer Green Bags!!!
I have been using Debbie Meyer's Green Bags (as well as her other products) for decades. I was thrilled to find them! Love that they're made in the USA, BPA free and reusable. I used to purchase them from a well-known shopping club until they started to drop the reliable company products.I prepare my food from scratch daily with fresh produce and these bags have saved me money by extending its "shelf" life as well as (I believe) preserving the nutritional content. They really do work well! However, you have to check to be sure there's no moisture build up on the produce and wipe it off if there is. Otherwise it can hasten spoilage. I don't use them for long-time storage... usually just for the week or so, depending on the type of produce, until I prepare my meals/salads and consume them. They also cut down on grocery store trips!Since I'm a "dinosaur" (lol), I avoid processed food like the plague and these Green Bags are a blessing! Give them a try... you may be pleasantly surprised by better health!!!

40 pack of excellent produce saving bags
These are the ones that came out years ago but you can't find in stores anymore. They really work! Make sure your produce is DRY when putting it in the bag. Rinse to clean (I still manage to not finish off berries after 10 days so I DO scrub mine out with soap on a scrubby sponge in such cases. Does not damage the bag). There is a detailed instruction sheet. I bought the 40 pack as the number in each size works best for me. One 40 pack will last me 3 years
