Where's the Sloth?: A Super Sloth Search Book (A Remarkable Animals Search Book)

I remember loving Waldo books around ages 7-8. My nephew is not quite 6, but he has some slight developmental delays. I got him this to start with. He had fun learning the names of the sloths. On each page, he only had the patience to locate 1-3 sloths before wanting to move on, on our first read-through (with family around, and other gifts being exchanged that day). He does have slight developmental delays, so I think a typical 5-6 year old could easily find more, depending on their patience. It's nice because even if you can't find all 8 sloths per page, the child can still feel successful finding some.I also ordered the spot the llama book (different author, but very similar look) and I will hold on to that one to gift my nephew next year. The llamas are hidden a bit more than the sloths, since they are featured as-life sized as compared to the people in the pictures. Once you get used to noticing how the llamas hide, it's easier, but the sloths were easier to spot.

Pleasantly surprised to find that this is not just a cute theme, but it’s a really nice “Search and Find” book. There are 10 different sloths hiding in 18 cityscapes from around the world. Very appealing to both the 7 and almost 12 year old. The cultural aspect makes it appeal to slightly older kids than most of this book genre.

It’s not too difficult, and my 4 and 5 year olds really enjoy it. The art is cute.

I was debating whether to get this or another where s Waly. Well, am glad I got this one cus where is Wally is a bit too difficult for my 6 yrs old and he enjoyed this book with no frustration. He finished it in maybe 20 min straight.
