S&,S Cycle Stealth 1&Prime, Taller Replacement Filter with Spacers 170-0127

I dig it, needed a new filter desperately cause mine was falling apart, I've got ported heads and throttle body, oversized valves in my 107 twin cam so why not ho bigger. Just installed it now, gonna run an autotune session in the morning with my powervision/target tune.

great filter

I changed out my stock carb on my old 1997 Harley years ago and I wanted this larger filter for many years so I I finally bought me one! After moving to the beach (sea level) I always felt my S&S carb was perhaps in-between the best jet size as it ran just a tad bit rich at sea level so I thought a bit more air might help? It wont hurt so why not?I can't say say for sure if it helps or not but my spark plugs look okay and my bike's air cleaner even looks better when I glance down and see nothing but more K&N! The filter itself is much larger than the older smaller K&N S&S filter so it must pass more air right?Does it help performance? I think it does but I have not dyno or anything but my 26 year old bike runs stronger, quicker than the day I got her so I'm very happy! It does stick out further and my leg may rest against it from time to time but even in shorts the heat is not very hot at all and does not bother me.I can't say if this will be a better option if riding in the rain a lot but time will tell and I'll simply clean and re-oil if it gets very wet. I do cover the entire cover & filter with a plastic bag and electric tape when washing my bike so my filter seldom gets wet. I did use loctite on the spacers and is a must and all have remained tight in my old non rubber mounted V twin! this is just one of those parts I wanted to buy 20 years ago and finally got what I always wanted! Nice product, 100% recommend!
