I don't cut many large holes, but when you need to, this kit is amazing. I work on yachts and often you need to make a large hole bigger. By selecting the correct 2 cutters and mounting them together you can achieve a perfect concentric cut.

Needed a hole saw to cut a hole in some polycarbonate sheet to fit a cooker hood venting hose and this set offered the correct size I needed at a good price. The set comes in a useful carry case so is very easy to store. I was able cut through the polycarbonate with no problems, all the saw teeth seemed to be aligned correctly. I have since used a couple of the other saws to cut holes in wood, with mixed results - of course, the harder the material, the more difficult. Softwood timber was OK but I was surprised that laminate flooring planks posed a serious challenge - maybe that is made of harder wood than I thought.So whilst it performed well for its original purpose, I’m not sure that they will be that versatile when used on different materials.

You get what you pay for I guess. I needed to cut a few neat holes and decided to get this set of cheap hole cutters since they weren't going to get a lot of use and I didn't want to lay out big money on something more 'professional'. Well here's the thing: not all the cutters have properly aligned teeth.ProsNicely packagedEasy to useConsSeveral blades arrived with bent teeth (they can be used, but the holes cut are slightly ovoid not round.)Given some blades arrived with bent teeth I suspect the quality of the steel is very poor and and other teeth with bend/blunt easily in use even on softwood.If you are in the market for a set of hole cutters I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Really nice kit I use it mainly on plastic and plasterboard good enough and it's in really nice case

I've only used this to put a hole in some guttering ,so it's not really been put to the test, but so far so good

I got this to make a large hole in the side of my garden office for a portable AC unit. I've not used it extensively, but for the 1 thing that I needed: making an AC hose sized hole through 40mm of timber garden office to mount a vent.It took a few mins, and I made sure I had my cordless drill set on "screwdriver" mode, so that if the teeth bit a little stronger than I was expecting, the clutch would disengage, and my wrists would remain intact.As it was a deep hole, I made sure to drill a pilot hole all the way through, Then, once I had got half way through, I swapped from drilling from inside to outside and completed the cut.After that, all was left to do was mount the hose vent, and attach the AC. Perfect for those (few) hot uk summers days, without needing to try and sneak an AC hose through the window without letting the heat removed by the AC back in again

All’interno della confezione del prodotto ho trovato la valigetta contenente tutti i 19 elementi del kit: 1 chiave esagonale, 2 punte da trapano, 2 mandrini, 1 piastra di installazione e 13 lame circolari.MATERIALI E REALIZZAZIONETutti gli elementi del kit sono in acciaio al carbonio, antiruggine e resistente. Tutto il set è costituito da elementi adibiti principalmente all’uso con legni, compensati, pvc e altri materiali di questo genere. Le 13 seghe a tazza hanno diametri diversi che vanno dai 19 mm fino a 152 mm (diametro esterno) ed una profondità fino a 25 mm.ESPERIENZA D’USOAvevo bisogno da tempo di un set di questo tipo. Fino ad ora, per fare fori nel legno grandi dovevo fare buchi inizialmente con punte sottili, smontarle e montare quella leggermente più grande e così via fino a raggiungere la dimensione desiderata: un vero incubo e una perdita di tempo enorme. In altre occasioni il foro che mi serviva era talmente grande da non avere una punta adatta così mi sono trovato a fare tanti piccoli fori uno vicino all’altro fino a fare una circonferenza e poi staccare la parte non necessaria e dover limare a dovere i residui indesiderati. Queste seghe a tazza sono comodissime e permettono veramente di risparmiare un sacco di tempo.Il montaggio, come indicato anche nelle immagini della descrizione del prodotto, è semplicissimo (attenzione ovviamente a stringere bene dove serve) e applicabile a qualsiasi trapano. Il dado ha una dimensione probabilmente in pollici: non avendo una chiave adatta ho dovuto usare un pappagallo, poco male. Tavole di legno e compensato vengono tagliate perfettamente. Anche plastiche come quelle degli interni della macchina si tagliano comodamente e si ottiene un risultato ottimo e in breve tempo. La punta da trapano al centro della sega a tazza fissa il punto da forare e impedisce alla sega di slittare. La valigetta inoltre rende il tutto molto pratico per il trasporto e ben protetto. Attenzione al montaggio, sono cosparse di olio protettivo quindi consiglio uso di guanti monouso e eventualmente di pulirle e ricoprirle nuovamente di olio prima di riporle nella valigetta.CONCLUSIONISet completo, arrivato in comoda valigetta, con olio protettivo, facile da montare, uso perfetto per i materiali che servono a me e prezzo eccezionale.

The media could not be loaded. Dans l'optique de préparer des trous pour nichoirs mais ne disposant d'aucun outil pour les réaliser, j'ai acheter cet ensemble de cloches bien complet. J'avais acheté auparavant un ensemble de cloches dans un magasin de bricolage avec une lame que l'on place dans des sillons pour faire la bonne taille... outil qui n'a jamais donné de résultats probants (la lame se retirait en pleine découpe... inefficace donc, et surtout dangereux).Ici, le tout est fourni dans une petite mallette d'excellente facture, bien rangé et plutôt compact pour la quantité et la taille de certaines cloches. Pour les petits diamètres, on retrouve un foret ne permettant pas d'ajouter un guide de renfort métallique (sans doutes car celui ci est assez gros). Pour tous les diamètre plus classiques, ce petit renfort permet de bloquer plus efficacement la cloche et éviter qu'elle ne vienne abimer la base attachée au foret. C'est plutôt simple, mais assez agréable à noter pour la durabilité des accessoires.Après quelques essais dans du bois dur de 25mm, je valide l'outil. Cela prend du temps, mais le travail est fait et bien. Le foret permet de bien guider la cloche et dans des cas comme le mien où l'épaisseur du bois est trop grande, cela permet de reprendre le trou sur l'autre côté de la plaque à découper.Petite info malgré tout, le trou créé par la cloche est parfois plus gros que le diamètre recherché... la faute à une lame parfois trop gourmande sur l'épaisseur du bois découpé. Forcément, vu l'épaisseur du métal utilisé, on a rien sans rien. Sachant que de mon côté les diamètres de nichoirs n'ont pas besoin d'être parfaitement au diamètre, cela n'a rien de grave, mais pour des découpes de précisions, c'est un défaut à prendre en considération.Recommandé donc de par la qualité globale pour le prix, et l'efficacité à l'utilisation, à condition de ne pas avoir à faire des trous à un diamètre exact.
