Living in rural Texas I cannot get hardwired internet service that is worthwhile, I use a cellular device by one of the big providers, the battery was failing after 3 years, this is an exact replacement.

Your moneys worth
This battery is a direct replacement for my at&t modem/router combo as far as same (Bat #) BAT-40, same (wh) working hours (ah) amp hours & even the same color. I had no way to charge it fully before use but it has been great. I can not speak of the longevity yet because I have only had it a short time but very satisfied.

New Battery was *+ years old
The PRODUCT: ZTE replacement battery for my standalone AT&T Wifi box.SUMMARY: Great price and fast delivery for a 8+ year old "new" battery. It works fine and hopefully it will last several years.The GOOD: After ordering the battery its estimated arrival was about 10 days after I ordered it but it arrived around 4 days later. The battery was the exact replacement that I needed and - with one day of usage - the battery seems to work just fine.The BAD?: The supposed "new" battery had a date code of 2014/04/06 as shown in the photo, which makes the NEW battery 8.5 years old when I received it, and 3 years older than the now-defective battery that came with the Wifi unit (date code on defective battery was 2017/11/08). The age of the 8+ year old new battery is disappointing to me, but this price was about half the price of other online stores ($15 versus $30+) so if I can get a couple years out of this battery I will be happy with it.Note: I read a review that mentioned something to the effect of "all these batteries have a date code of 2014" and I told myself that the reviewer was inaccurate since my defective battery had a 2017 date code. I now suspect that the review meant to say that "all the new batteries that this company sells has a 2014 date code" in which case that reviewer may have been very accurate.

Old Battery
We have an MF279 wifi hot spot from AT&T we needed a replacement backup battery for and this battery is the same. However, our original battery was dated for 8/2017 and the first battery we received was dated 10/2017. The battery was low and did not remedy the low battery light on our hot spot. We returned and the battery and received a new one dated for 11/2017. Same issue, the battery is just too old and our hot spot continues to indicate we have a low battery. We will have to look for a new source to find a battery that is not old. If your purchase, beware you may not receive a fully charged battery.
