Its an extension cord. It extends power. Look this is not a professional grade cord so dont put high power loads on it. Use it for what its intended to do and it will be perfectly fine. Take care of it and it will last just fine. Alternately, use it for something where you need it to be outside for a year and then toss it.Right tool for the right job.
