I first tried this on sore muscles during a massage on a cruise ship something like 20 years ago. It worked great then, and it works great now--both the current product and my 20 year old bottle.It seems expensive, but when you consider you are essentially buying a lifetime supply, it's comparatively inexpensive.Suppose you have exercised too hard, or you over did it raking leaves, and you have an intense burning pain in your muscles. Rub literally a couple drops into the painful area and the pain disappears almost instantly. You are functional again.Now and then, when you've gone too far, you use a couple drops of this stuff. So how long do you suppose a bottle is going to last? A LONG time! And since it's a plant oil it doesn't seem to go bad with time.Yes, I have purchased a second bottle. I've shared the original bottle with relatives and it's still making the rounds, so I bought a replacement. The original was still more than half full!Is it a good money making item? Probably not, since you will likely never use it all. But I'm really glad it exists!It's not a cure-all. It doesn't help with nerve pain, bad discs in the back and neck, etc. But it's not made for that. It's made for tired, overworked muscles. And for THAT it never fails.That's been my experience, for what it's worth.EDIT: I've read some other reviews and it looks like I have used less than some. But I'm not a pro athlete, and I only use the minimum amount necessary to get relief. I think that's a good philosophy--use as little as is necessary. But if you only use a few drops at a time, and only now and then, do the math... it's going to last a long time.

I have purchased this ElEMIS Muscles Active Body Oil numerous times and love how relaxing it makes me feel, especially when I have sore muscles from working out.. I like using it after a shower, right before bedtime. The scent is light and fresh smelling rosemary and pine. A little bit goes a long way and the bottle lasts me a long time, so it's totally worth the cost. I have sensitive skin and this is really soothing. I drift off to sleep feeling completely relaxed.

My husband purchased this oil on a cruise and we have decided to keep using it for his Thera gun massages. It is light and had a nice fragrance.

I got some of this Elemis musclease oil on a cruise and we really like the relief it gave us so now I just ordered another bottle. Love the feeling. Not greasy just blends in.

Love this oil, feels great after a shower, however it has always been too expensive.I treated myself because I had a Lumbar surgery.

I just had a total knee replacement 3 weeks ago, & the muscle pain you have right away keeps you from walking or getting in & out of bed easily. I decided to start using this oil on my entire leg and within 5 min I was able to take long strides and all of a sudden I was able to swing my leg over into bed with no help!! My Dr said I’m able to do more at 3wks what most still can’t do at 6 weeks. When I told my PT about it and he saw the incredible change, he said that he may have to look into it and recommend it to his other patients that are unable to get any relief from any other creams they were recommended. In the beginning I would use it for restless leg syndrome, a soon as I put it on at my vanity and got into bed it was gone completely!!! What a great effective product!!!

We have tried ALL of them, and the Elemis is BY FAR the best. First introduced to it on a Royal Caribbean Cruise, and never left it. Highly recommend.

The fragrance was a lite scent and the feel of the oil was very nice.
