Rubies Wizard of Oz Dorothy's Toto in A Basket Costume Accessory for Themed Parties and Halloween

Worked great for my daughter’s Dorothy costume. The basket is a bit fragile but held up through multiple Halloween events and trick or treating.

Came here to leave a review because this Toto in a basket actually looks like Toto. I had ordered another one that was returned because as someone put it, Toto looked like a rat. But not this one.Be careful for splinters. Some of the basket has some parts that are not smooth so check for loose splintered wood material just in case.

The basket is cheaply made in quality and Toto could use a good brush. (So I have subtracted a star.) However, it is absolutely adorable and perfect for a costume or one time use prop! Thrilled with my purchase for Halloween.

My 6 year old granddaughter will be Dorothy this year. I have made her outfit, found ruby shoes and just needed the final touch...toto. This is not a toy to be played with much as the basket is kind of flimsy and my daughter got a splinter from the handle which should be remedied by spraying with a gloss protector. It will also keep the basket a bit more durable. Toto is a perfect size, a little scruffy but adorable. The basket has enough room for her to put her candy in at the time but her mother plans on then taking it out, putting into a bigger bag after she leaves the house. It is the perfect accessory for her costume and will be sure to cause people to go "ah".

The tongue on mine is a bit sideways which makes him look a bit derpy, and some of his fur is too long to see his eyes, and the basket doesn’t open or close easily…but it does give the impression of Toto which I guess works for a costume. He looks like Temu Toto. I’ll keep it but only bc I couldn’t find a better replacement.

Toto was expensive, pretty sure it was more than the costume. However, this Toto is what convinced me to dress up as Dorothy. It was just too cute to pass up. Arrived looking just like the picture and better than I thought it would be. With care, it should last years. Bonus, not only did the basket hold Toto, but it held my make up, safety pins, and a few other things I needed throughout the day without needing to carry anything extra.

I was so excited when I made this purchase. It would have totally been worth the price if it looked like the photo description.. I wish I did more research before buying it. I didn’t check the reviews till after I received the product. If you’re looking for a realistic Toto this will highly disappoint you.. I had one sad 40 year old woman who walked around with a plastic bucket and a stuffed duck at that point because there was not enough time before our company party. She was happier with her duck than whatever this dog was….

I purchased this to complete a scene for a photo shoot. It’s REALLY cute, and I’m glad I made the investment in it. I’ll use it a lot for photography!
