Excellent product
My sister's little dog is very, very old and not a good candidate for dentistry. Her teeth were horrible. I could smell them as soon as I walked into the room. Since she has been on DeaDent, she has lost weight (which was needed), her mouth does not smell, her teeth are much cleaner, she can hear better and she is brighter and more energetic. I am using this for all my my dogs. It is a terrific product. As an update for my review above: my sister's old dog [a dog in her late teens] did not lose the serious plaque and tartar build up on her teeth with the use of this product. The enzymes did loosen some of the plaque and get rid of the terrible smell of disease and rotting teeth. Her mouth still had bad plaque from years of neglect, periodontal disease and kidney disease. I noticed the smell from her mouth was gone after about a month or so of giving the seadent in her food. I had continued to give her Seadent in her food for at least 6 months before I wrote my first review. The enzymes were a boost to the dog's digestion and her over-all condition improved enough that I was able to get her checked for a teeth cleaning at the vets.My younger dogs [1 puppy under a year and the rest 3 to 11 yrs. old] are all being given Seadent now. I believe it is preventing plaque and tartar build up because their teeth look good. I still love the product and encourage its use.

Great stuff
This was recommended to me by the veterinarian for our dogs. Works great. Seems a little pricey when you see how small the jar is however it only takes a small amount to work.

Good option for healthier teeth
Seems to help keep teeth cleaner along with our senior pup’s daily brushing which he doesn’t like at all!

It works!
I have been using this on my 2 miniature dachshunds for the past year. I took them to the vet and he asked what I was doing for their teeth and I told him I have been using the SeaDent. He said keep it up, their teeth look great. He now recommends it to all of his clients who's dogs need it.I have tired all kinds of things and this is the first thing that has made a difference. Their gum lines were covered with plaque and their breath was not pleasant. I, also have one who has a heart condition and is not a candidate for going under anthesis. Dachshunds are genetically predisposed to having bad teeth so I was desperate to find something that worked but was natural as well. I also give them clean filtered water and offer raw vegetables for treats. They do get a raw diet. They were also getting these things prior to the SeaDent.I am really grateful to have found something that is working. This being said their teeth are not perfect but they are a lot better than they have been. Their breath is a whole lot better too! I hope you to may get the same results.

Works but....
This is a good product and have been using it for over a year however the last 2 bottles I've received, and at 2 completely different times, have not been powder... I'm not sure why or if it effects how well the product performs. May have to use a different one from now on.

Seems to help and apparently it is tasty too
Definitely helped clean our dog's teeth and heal his sensitive gums. He seems to like the taste too.

WOW! SUPER AMAZING!
One of my dogs had super stinky breath that smelled like poop breath, even though she doesn’t eat poop. It started after we put her on antibiotics for a cut a year ago. I knew it was gut related but everything I tried wouldn’t help. I would brush her teeth with mouthwash just to cut the smell. Her full blooded sister didn’t have bad breath. Only 2 days of putting just 2 little spoon fulls (it comes with a little spoon) on their food daily and the bad breath is gone! I’m amazed!

started with a puppy and at 14 mo. old plaue is showing
I have a 14 mo. Irish Water Spaniel who is now 65 lbs. and began using this product 4 months ago at the suggested daily dosage. I decided to use this product after deciding between plaqueoff, thinking it may be a bit better because of the added enzymes and since they both have the same kelp ingredient. Through the past 4 months I've also brushed his teeth 3x/week and figured that even if the product would soften any plaque, it would simply rub off with the brushing. Over this time I noticed some plaque forming in the grooves of his rear upper molars, very slowly, and became a little discouraged. I tried scraping it with my nail but it was too hard to release. I figured I'd keep trying and bought a 2nd bottle but noticed right as it arriverd that he has plaque that has formed around the gumline of his canines, particularly the lower ones, which were harder to see without moving his gums aside. Another disappointing fact was that this 2nd bottle came with no scoop included, which must have been missed during the manufacturing since the bottle arrives with a plastic seal.So between the lack of results and no scoop for proper dispensing, I decided to return this 2nd bottle and won't be using it again since it hasn't worked for my dog. If it was working, it was only a little and certainly not enough to keep up with the plaque that conitnued to develop and he would have eventually needed a dental cleaning at the vet, which all my efforts and this product was intended or postpone for a long time. His breath was also slowly getting worse over these last months and often smells a bit like a dirty fish tank, particularly right after he ate his kibble with the powder sprinkled all over it. This seemed to me to be the combination of the kelp/sea-food smell plus the bacteria in the plaque accumulation to give a "dirty fish tank" odor. And since he's just over a year old, this was disappointing given all the positive reviews of this product. To my surprise, my dog allowed me to scrape off the plaque that had formed on those rear molars with a dental scaler i have and it didn't take much effort to scape off with the tool. I'm considering trying plaqueoff but don't have high hopes despite how well reviewed and more popular it is, also because it has the same active kelp ingredient. But who knows, maybe it's different somehow.
