The media could not be loaded. I just started getting into the gemstone world and using them for metaphysical purposes. When I ordered this I was a little apprehensive because I had read reviews saying that these are just rocks and they're ugly, backyard rocks. THIS IS NOT TRUE! Admittedly, when you first open the package, it's pretty rough. There's a lot of dust on the rocks and things all look the same color. When you wash them... OMG THEY COME TO LIFE.I got the most beautiful blue apatite I have ever seen, the chunks of septarian are still crystalline with the calcite.. the chunks of green opal are large and in charge. I did get more petrified wood than I would have liked but they are so pretty!The most underwhelming part of these rocks were the jasper, but I'm also not much of a desert jasper fan. The green, yellow and red were very pretty though.The amethyst was a little underwhelming in color, same with the rose quartz. Very pale but sizable chunks.The amount of labradorite I received was amazing but it is ROUGH.If you really want to clean these rocks up, get yourself some wetodry sandpaper (200,400,800,1000,2000 grit) and hand polish these babies right up. That's how you get them to look like the rock shop quality! Seriously its so therapeutic taking these rough stones and making them semi-polished (I didn't want to fully round them out and degrade the "rough" look)I will post a VERY expensive video going through them all!This is an amazing buy, and I'm going to be buying the other mix very soon! Great value!I do not like that it doesn't come with a guide for those who don't know what they're looking at this could be very confusing, I wouldn't necessarily say it's for beginners but my children definitely enjoyed looking at all the different rocks. On the very top of the package it does list all the different possible stones that can be inside of the Madagascar mix so that is pretty helpful especially when you have Google to verify what you're looking at. I got at least 1 of each!

Very happy with this set of stones!...I've always loved to collect stones/ crystals every since I was a child, but during a move about 5 years ago i misplaced my collection (which i've very sad about) but I decided it was time to get some stones again since I have been getting more into spiritual concepts like Reiki/ energy healing. I also plan to make jewelry with these stones as well!I did some searching on amazon to find the best deal on GENUINE stone set. This seemed to be one of the best options for not only REAL stones, but also the different kinds of stones that come in it for this price (I paid 13.99)So when I got them, the plastic bag it came in was torn at the bottom but that wasn't that big of a deal to me because I was too excited to care lolI took them over to the sink because they were dusty and rinsed them off, and watched them start to glow with their beautiful natural colors!After rinsing them off and letting them dry off a little, I started to sort them as best as I could, some were a little difficult to figure out.I was a bit confused between the blue apatite and the Chrysocolla because if you look them up they look pretty similar, but I believe the Chrysocolla are a little bit green.So in this 3lb bag, I received about 50 stones (pictures!)5 Amethyst6 Rose Quartz2 Girasol Opal4 Green Opal2 Chrysocolla6 Blue Apatite5 Labradorite5 or 6 Sepitarian (the one i'm not sure if it is or not)4 Red Jasper4 Yellow Jasper6 Desert JasperI would definitely buy again!

Very prettyI got in trouble for ordering rocks but when I made him a trinket to keep with him he was fine.

This is an amazing lot of crystal points, very good for the price. I am very happy with my order but I did take off one star because they are not all nice-looking specimens (or what I would consider to be A+ quality) although the energy is still very high even in the less perfect-looking ones. I did receive many that are just gorgeous A+ quality but don't expect them all to be. I haven't had much time to do work with these but I did a quick intuitive-style hand reading and about 8 of them have very high tingly energy which is immediately felt and the rest have high energy that takes a little longer to be felt. Each crystal can be programmed but some are more naturally inclined for certain tasks and it takes awhile to figure each one out. Some may be "sleeping" and their full energy may not be felt until you work with them for awhile. I cleansed and charged them under the full moon to clear them and get them ready for my uses, some of which I wrapped for wands and some I'm making into wire-wrapped pendants. Some will be used for general energy directing and clearing purposes and grids and some I may gift to friends or family.The largest were around two inches in length and the smallest around 1". I would say these are not all top quality in appearance because some are chipped at the point, some are broken a bit and only look good on one side and some have matrix material embedded in them (a few examples of the less pretty points are shown in my last photo) but if you are using them for energy work you will be very happy with them. I might save the nicest looking ones for jewelry. There were some very nice twin crystals, two that were semi-scepters and some other unique formations, they are intriguing and I spend a lot of time looking at them and admiring them. One of my most powerful ones has some specks of dark green chlorite(?) inside.I was hesitant to give this anything but 5 stars but I contacted the company about my concerns about breakage and possibly shipping them in better packaging in the future because of some damaged points and crystal dust in the package and they did not even respond. I would gladly buy this product again at the price I paid (about $13 with Prime shipping included.)
