African Wildlife: A Folding Pocket Guide to Familiar Species (Nature Observation International) Pamphlet – November 26, 2024

I have a friend traveling to Africa soon and wanted to get her a light-weight but accurate option for wildlife identification. She loved this light weight "brochure like" identification map of illustrated wildlife! She has a writing journal but does not need anything "too burdensome" to carry while on safari. Things we opt to carry when flying into safari lands, adds so much weight and adds up fast when traveling, especially in small planes where luggage weight is just 21-25 pounds. When she called to thank me, she stated this identification was perfect and she had been wanting something durarable but lightweight; my gift was perfectly suited for this exciting trip! It won't be hard to notice the differences between a serval and a cheetah. Not filled with behaviors of animals, but surely the illustrations are accurate and a quick source when needed.

I bought this as a birthday present for a friend that likes to watch the live web cams of African watering holes. Now she can identify the animals she is seeing !

This is a very sturdy pocket guide to African wildlife. It is on thick card stock and coated to withstand the elements. The concise information on each species is easy to read and accurate. I bought this to take along on my upcoming safari and it definitely deserves its place in the side pocket of my day pack.

Returned from our Africa trip and wanted guide book on animals we saw to correctly identify our pictures. Nice informative book.

Am taking this on an upcoming trip to southern Africa instead of a heavy wildlife guide. Seems to cover everything I think I will need. Guides always have a good wildlife book, so think this is all I will need. Took a wildlife guide on my first trip and basically only used it to mark off the animals and birds I saw.

As I could have expected, there is very little information for each species, if any.

Very nice pocket guide and I look forward to carrying it with me while in Africa. Easy reference and nicely laminated.
