GOOD LOOKING, WELL CONSTRUCTED, PROVIDES EXCELLENT VISUAL ENHANCEMENT
This is a versatile, solidly made, heavy and almost untippably based, magnifier with light source. For me, as i age, it's a God send. Thepacking could have been lots better, and the instructions are slim but when studied carefully one can work out the minimal but critical assembly. This well illuminated, high, & large area magnifier's functionality is very good indeed.

So happy I made this investment
I was reluctant to spend $100, but it turns out to be the best investment I have made this year. I was struggling with tired eyes and blurred/poor vision when doing cross-stitching and beading after short periods of time. I was at the point where my eyes were be sorely strained after 1 hr. and I was losing the joy of crafting. I thought my eyesight was deteriorating and I needed new glasses. This light/magnifier is wonderful. I can now work on my projects for 4-6 hrs a day without any eye strain, in complete comfort, wearing my reading glasses. It's really quite amazing.PROS:1. Easy to assemble. Arrives very well packaged.2. The light is a nice bright, white(not yellow) showing the true colors of your work and never, ever gets hot. (even after being on for 6+ hrs)3. The magnifying area is nice and large, so I can work with my hands, arms and neck in a natural and comfortable position. I dont have to adjust my body position to the magnifier, which is quite wonderful.4. The magnifier is clear and excellent quality glass. No distortion. The 7X magnification is perfect. I can see a large area of my work in beautiful detail. If I need more magnification, I simply pull the head a tad closer. Easy to clean with a soft cloth.5. The magnifier head articulates in all directions. Up/Down, Left/Right and spins 360 degrees. I particularly like that once I have it at a comfortable height, if I adjust my position in my chair, I can simply tip the magnifier a smidge to the correct angle and continue working. It always stays put in the exact position I set it to.6. Easy to adjust the flex-arm and height. Easy to swivel the head is very tiny adjustments.7. The flex-arm is plenty long enough to position comfortably over my La-Z-Boy recliner.8. Base is well weighted, so as long as you position the magnifier head directly over the base, this lamp is very stable and will not tip over.CONS:1. You do have to make sure the magnifier head is aligned horizontally above the base to prevent this from tipping over.2. Not a real CON, but I do wish the cord was longer. I did have to buy an extension cord3. You do need to use two hands to grip the lower pole to move this into position by lifting gently and sliding it across the floor/rug. The weighted base is heavy and you have to be careful not to pull the pole out of the base when moving it.

Brightech LightView Pro LED is Superb!
I just bought a white Brightech LightView Pro LED lamp as a birthday gift for my wonderful wife who is a very busy and talented crochet expert who makes things every day as her relaxing hobby. Delivery was right on time as promised on July 3, 2018. The outer Amazon box, inner product box, and product itself were all in great shape from the shipping process. All was well-packaged. Assembly was very simple with easy instructions to assist. The light/magnifying lens and lamp hardware are very solid, sturdy, and of high build and material quality. The light and lens are of perfect brightness (540 lumens) and magnification for her marathon crochet sessions. The entire light/lens assembly is easy to position and it keeps firmly in place for hands-free use, and is also easy to adjust on the fly. It is somewhat heavy and well-anchored all the way down to its substantial weighted base. A round base might be better for balance than its oblong or oval base. It is not flimsy, at all; and will not easily tip over, unless you put too much top weight over the narrowest part of the oblong base, and then bump or push on it. Must be careful there. Otherwise, well-balanced when kept in the optimum position between top assembly and oblong base. Easy to simply swing the lens/light away to the side of her recliner chair whenever she gets up from her chair; and easy to simply swing right back over to the same exact position as before when she sits back down. The pole can be easily tightened, raised and lowered by hand, as well. The flexible gooseneck arm from the vertical pole to the light/lens assembly is the perfect length, and it can be easily shaped to the desired curvature and angle all the way to the light/lens, while keeping sturdy and stiff and staying in whatever shape and angle to which it is bent and positioned. Reminds me of the good quality gooseneck lamps I once had many years back. Adjust and set it into position, and it stays there firmly until you may want to change it to suit yourself. Easy and without hassle, so you can focus on what counts - the work you are doing under the nice bright, cool, even light and clear, even magnification. The lens is of a good size and its 4" high × 6.5" wide semi-rectangular shape (rounded slightly on lateral/side edges) provides a good and wide field of vision for working without the need to move either your head or subject around to better see whatever you are working on. My wife finds it comfortable and easy to do her crochet as normally while in her recliner; and still be able to just look up slightly with her eyes from her work every now and then to catch something interesting on the plasma tv about 12 feet away and in straight line of sight just over the light/magnifier in front of her. The wall wart power transformer (wall plug) and long 8-foot cord to the low voltage connector/socket midway on the vertical pole is a good and convenient design feature. This is a superb product of high quality materials and build. The price is very good for the quality you get. My wife and I really like it, and we highly recommend this Brightech LightView Pro LED lamp. I like hers so much, I may soon have to just get another, a slick-looking black one for myself to use on my own various detailed work projects and hobbies. I hope this helps.
