Great
DROP YOUR TRANSFER CASE, still a great lift but you gotta do that or your drive shafts grind and not good now I’m in that situation

Great kit
Great kit for my 2000 xj limited. Added a 3/4 spacer above the springs in front and it sits perfectly level. Rides better. Pro tip out the axle side on first when installing the lower control arms then ratchet straps to align the body side.

Will need more than this kit
I purchased and installed the kit about 3 months ago and so far everything is running smoothly. As for the install it was anything but smooth. My 2000 XJ had everything just about rust welded together and finding spare bolts or nuts is no easy task without it costing an arm and a leg from the manufacturer. But besides fighting the rust once everything was off the install was easy. In my case I did have to do a transfer case drop with the Rough Country 1 in spacers (Might as well add to cart until you purchase a SYE). Currently only two are on because I sheered the studs in the front and have not been able to get them out. The Rough Country steering stabilizer was another purchase as my previous one was 25 years old and doing absolutely nothing on the vehicle. It has also been great thus far. My only complaint is that the shocks do squeak a little on some turns. At first I thought it was just from them being new but after 3 months it still hasn't gone away. The only other thing is that it is really stiff. Off road on gravel/dirt/sand/mud it has handled well but haven't been anywhere to test it to the limit. All in all I would say well worth for a budget kit. Just make sure you do something about your transfer case to prevent rapid wear and tear on U-joints and your drivetrain. If Rough Country or anyone else sees this that knows about the squeaking front shock I would love help with that.

Just add the transfer case drop kit to your cart too.
Very happy with this kit. Haven't really put it to work yet, but so far it rides great and it brought my XJ to the exact height I was hoping for.Two tips for anyone else looking to install this on their own:1. Don't try to install without spring compressors. I know there is info out there that supposedly claims you can, but I don't recommend going that route. I tried it. I ended up taking apart some steering components to let the axle droop low enough to put the new springs in, but there still wasn't enough room. So I ended up renting a spring compressor kit, so having to undo the failed shortcut just created more work. Just use the recommended tools and don't end up wasting your time by giving yourself more work. And of course, be very careful with spring compressors.2. You are going to need to drop your transfer case. Include that kit as part of your kit plans with this one.

Easy install on a 95 XJ
I have a 95 xj and wanted to get some more ground clearance and this was a great fit. Easy install for my first suspension lift I’ve done. I would suggest to anyone to start lubricating all the bolts and nuts on your XJ the moment you order this kit. It says it will clear 31” tires and that may be the case with some but I did have to do some fender trimming on mine. I’m running 31x10.50 r15 tires with a 15 inch rim -33 offset and a 4” backspacing.

Only got half my order
Only got half of my order missing the complete front half of the lift kit. No option to get refunded I get screwed. I will never buy anything from rough country again. This is beyond the point of ridiculous. Thanks for taking my money and giving me half of what I paid for

Firm - Easy to Install
I wanted jsut a little more clearance on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ and this did the trick. The old bolts were hard to remove, but once I got past that, it was easy to install. the ride on the old springs and shocks was spongy, now the XJ feels like a JK Wrangler. Much stiffer, better handling and overall better ride. I'm sure there are better shocks than the ones suppled, but these are a huge improvement over the worn out ones that I had before. I also installed the Rough Country - 7572 - Front Adjustable Track Bar for 1.5-4.5-inch Lifts, the Rough Country 87317N2 - Steering Stabilizer with Premium N2.0 Series Shock and a 1" transfer case drop kit.If you don't want to do the install yourself, I got a quote of $750 from a local auto repair shop.
