Q: Do you have lab reports showing the water specs before and after filtration?

I’d like to see the specs too compared to the more expensive ones. I bought these and I can tell you the flow is a lot faster than the other ones which is concerning

I sent mine back after reading to only filter treated water. Whereas the Berkey’s can filter pond water if needed. It’s not an apples to apples comparison The Berkey’s are patented multi-media filters designed to filter contaminated water. Wheras these filters are coconut charcoal designed to filter tapwater.

Q: Why are the TDS much higher than tap water after filtering the water

No idea, but stick with the Berkeley filters. These knock-offs suck. They do not filter as well, and the documents sent with the filters tells you they are not to be used outside of a domestic water system. May as well buy a brita filter instead of these. I made the mistake of getting them and noticed right away how bad they are.

Q: How do I perform the red dye test and where do I get it?

It is not something you get. Once you have your filters installed fill your system with water. Then add a few drops of red food coloring. If your filters are working right the water once it has run through the filters should come out clear. Hope that helps.

Great quality water filtration

Works well, went together very easily. Looks great even though the containers are smaller than I imagined it is still a good value especially for taking on the road or daily drinking water.

💧 Better that the original Berkey filters. 💧

We've had our Berkey for 8 years but stopped using it about 3 years ago because the filter costs were so high and that they were not NSF rated. I was pleasantly surprised to find Aqua Crest to have NSF certified replacements at a lower price.I set the Berkey back up and have been using it for a few weeks and its works great. Tastes good and even tested the water (just with those strip kits, not a professional service) and the results were great.I was using the aqua crest filers for my PUR filter and now use this.Update 4 months later - filter is still going. Great doesn’t come apart like other reviewers have mentioned, working perfectly. But I also discover is that the black cartridges don’t require as much cleaning as the original Berkey filters do. My original Berkey filters will get clogged up pretty fast within a couple weeks. Why I’d have to take them out and scrub them very often.

Great customer service!!

At first these filters worked great but about a month into it the water tasted awful!! Emptied everything re-primed the filters and the water tasted good again. Month later, that awful tasting water came right back, and even worse. Water not drinkable.Update: So the company reached out to me and replaced the filters free of charge. Amazing customer service!!

Bad knockoff

Looks like the original Berkey filter but doesn’t work like it. The water passes instantly through it and tastes like tap water still. Definitely not what I was looking for in a replacement filter.
