Bought the paperback, not the online copy.
Great art, great story. Really excited for the next one! (Paperback)

Good manga, bad formatting
Those familiar with the anime and light novels will find little new here, though I will say I really like Matsue's art. This volume covers the first half of Subaru's showdown with Petelgeuse. The reason my score is not higher is because there seems to be some kind of formatting issue in the Kindle edition. Everything seems smoothed and flattened, which is a serious detriment. Hopefully this will be resolved, but I don't really know. I am not familiar with formatting and don't know if there is a precedent for this.

Black screens
I love the series but there is a big problem: there are some formatting problems in the Kindle version.I initially thought that the black pages problem was happening only to me or that it was a download issue, but after investigate a bit further I came to know that it is a common problem.

Not what I was expecting
The Kindle version of this item is the light novel - which is what I was looking for - but the print edition is that of a completely unrelated manga, adapted from the same series of course, but my no means the same product. I suspect this mixup happened because they both have "Volume 8" in the title, and volume 8 of the light novel must not currently be available in paperback through Amazon, but be warned: if you are looking for a print edition of volume 8 of the light novel, you will not currently find it on Amazon.

Avoid new Yen Press digital manga releases until formatting problem fixed
Yen Press is having an ongoing formatting problem with their new manga digital releases. The last 3 I've purchased from them all have a black bar at the top of each page and the graphics for the page are squashed vertically under that bar.
