Skeg on outboard motor looks like new again.
On one of my first boat trips with my new 2019 pontoon boat I grinded off some OEM paint from the bottom of the skeg of the outboard and so it didn't look new any longer. Well, this worked perfectly! I can't even tell where I painted and where I didn't from 3' away. Super happy.If your OEM paint is older I don't know if it will match as well right away, but at least it also offers some protection to the bare metal as well. If you have a pretty new Merc then I can recommend this as it worked great for me. Happy and safe boating!

Make sure surface is clean and remember to purchase the clear coat
I just used this product yesterday 9.16.2018 and it worked great. I am currently waiting on the clear coat to com in but when finished I will post a picture. Just the paint itself has a nice gloss to it. Look great now but with the clear coat and a buff, man it’s going to look like I took to the shop.

Great paint with a great glossy finish
Great paint! I have used it on 2 cowls now and a whole motor. Only bad thing about it is if you mess up it is hard to sand! Has a great shine to it.

Terrible paint
Splatters like no one’s business. Fortunately, I bought 2 cans, because I wanted a can to paint my outdrive, and one to do touch ups as needed, but because of how terrible this stuff is, it not only splatters, it also stopped spraying after using only half. I switched out the nozzle, but it still wouldn’t spray. Had to break out the second can that I bought for touch ups. The second can was absolutely no better. Splattered like crazy, and only let me use about half the can before stopping. I don’t know if these were very old cans, or if they just make garbage paint, but I’ll never buy nor use it again. Had to do a good bit of wet sanding and polishing to get a decent look out of the finished product. Paid for 2 cans, but had to use them both to cover what 1 can should have. Basically, I threw away 1 can worth of volume. The only thing positive I can say is that it’s black, and matched the original color pretty good.I do not recommend this paint at all.
