How To Read Price Action?: War Stories of Buyers Vs Sellers
B**.
Not recommended for investors/traders regardless of skill level.
Hard to rate a book this inexpensive so poorly, but I just can't even muster a 2nd star for this. I read this book in 15 minutes; it is 63 small pages (including the table of contents and a "Thank You" page with information about the author's website) with large graphs or pictures on almost every page. The "war story" metaphors and brief explanation of the big, mid-sized, and small players and their roles are poor attempts to set this book apart from the hundreds of candlestick books that have been done better. If you are a complete novice on candlestick charts, just Google the topic and save $3, or order a book by Nison or Bigalow if you really want to spend your money and have it be worthwhile.

On the fence with this one....
I'm on the fence with this book.... On the positive side I like the authors basic approach and his discussion as to what causes the pattern to form. On the negative side not only is it so basic that you could find it with any minimal online query, but the author just doesn't point you in any useful direction with this information. Regardless of the hundreds of books on trading that I've read, I try to learn something or at least get a different view of a topic from every book I read regardless of how bad I think the book is. I think I got more positive from this book than the negative. It won't change your trading or your life, but it won't hurt to spin through it just to add to your knowledge base. But don't pay much for it....

Good Metaphor - Using War and Battle to Read Price Action
Buy this book when you want to know the market psychology of buyers and sellers. Alwin explains it very clearly like a war story. Learn to see which side is winning, and then jump in to the winning side will guarantee to enhance your probabilities of success. Another very useful concept is to learn to differentiate the big, mid and small time players. If you can do that, it will surely help to improve your game!Stephen Choong, businessman, and also investor and trader
