Set of 2 Front Hood Lift Supports Struts Shocks Eeplacement for Porsche 911 2006-2013 Boxster 2005-2012 Cayman 2006-2012

These are fantastic replacements for the original struts. They were very easy to install and so far work great. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who's looking for a simple money saving option. Took me 5 minutes to do.

Very easy to install. Once you figure out It only takes 5 minutes to take out the old ones and replace with the new ones. There is a metal clip on each end of the strut that locks the strut on to the top and bottom anchor point. The key is to ply the clip up slightly ( toward the end of the strut) so it would easily slide off the anchor point.)

Installation was remarkably easy. Hood now lifts itself, which it never did with the original equipment.

I purchased these as replacements for the front trunk struts on my 2006 Porsche Boxster S. These were a perfect fit and provided much needed lift and holding power versus the original ones that had worn out. The installation was a bit fiddly but after following instructions on several YouTube videos, I was able to complete it quickly. Eight months after installation, they're still working perfectly, and I have no fear of the lid coming down on my head anymore.

installed these in my 2013 porsche 911 front trunk. Literally took 2 minutes to install. Immediately fixed my issue, and works exactly like the OEM frunk struts but at 1/3 the price. I have had them in for 6 months now, still perfect.

Easy install. Solved the problem of weak struts. The only negative is they are a little too powerful. The hood lifts too quickly. The work around is to keep a hand on the hood as it lifts. I imagine time will balance it out. Then all good.

These are just a few millimeters longer than the OEM but still fit my 2010 911 front trunk; a little more powerful so keep your hand on the hood after you release the front catch. Used a flathead screwdriver to release the clip on the installed struts to get them off and then just popped these replacements on without opening each clip. These don't have a depression to get a screwdriver in to pop the clip so hopefully won't need to replace these anytime soon.

Like the other reviews have said, the strut lift the hood a little higher than the oem one. But it works well so far.

Installed these on my 987 Cayman a few weeks ago cause the originals weren't strong enough to hold up the frunk lid anymore. Install is simple. They do the job and they look OEM. But you'll have to get in the habit of restraining the frunk lid from slamming upwards. At about the halfway-up mark, if you're not holding the lid, it'll go up very fast and slam against the limit pretty hard. I'm just not sure if new OEMs would do the same thing so I don't know how normal it is. It's a little aggressive but it works and it's definitely better than getting hit in the head with the frunk lid when it falls.
