Good knife at a great price.
I'd heard good things about this affordable knife so got one. The action is super smooth, the liner lock isn't too heavy, the blade full bevel and D2 steel make for a nice sharp knife. Good shape and size, I recommend this for an affordable EDC or use knife.

Great Knife
Its light, it has a great blade and a easy opening with thumb studs. Glad I got it!

Great EDC knife.
I’ve seen these many times over the years and I finally bought one and it’s big brother. Despite these knives being an older design I can see why people like them so much. These things are built like a tank. There is no blade play. They opened quickly and easily one-handed with the thumb studs and the blades arrived sharp. The liner lock works very well. I did not experience any problems with it sticking as others have reported. The steel may not be modern super steel but for what 90% of people use their knives for this is fine. It feels substantial in the hand and not cheap or flimsy. This has quickly become one of my favorite knives.

Best Budget Knife Hands Down
I've been carrying this every day without issue. Came razor sharp and is still very sharp. Opens very easily with the snap of a thumb and has never accidentally opened in my pocket. A unique profile but I've come to love the ugliness. I had to return a RAT before when it first arrived because the cutting blade was actually twisted (yes, like a warped board). Definitely check that out before you miss the return window or start cutting with it. Other than that, this knife has been the best budget knife I've ever owned and I actually just bought another RAT 2 in D2 steel but it hasn't arrived yet. The green one in my pics is the RAT 1 in D2, my current black handled RAT 2 is AUS-8. Buy it, you won't regret it!

Perfect for an affordable EDC knife!
I love this knife! It's just what I needed for an EDC knife! The price is very affordable for what you get! I got the RAT II D2 version. D2 is very good steel, and was very sharp out of the box! The ergonomics fitmy hand perfectly! It has a liner lock, and my knife was lined up perfectly straight so it locks just fine! Overall 5 out of 5 stars!

Great knife.
It was my mistake but I thought this knife was larger. It's not tiny, but it's overall length is 7'' and blade is 3'', cutting edge I measured as 2 3/4''.The fit and finish is great.Pretty much everything you've heard from all the knife reviewers is true. There's barely anything wrong with this knife, and any flaws you can find, I haven't found any yet, can be looked over for it's price. It's just a good, cheap(er) knife. If you're thinking about getting the Rat 2, that's enough reason to just buy it. It's good. There's really nothing else to say about it.If you've stumbled upon this knife and know nothing about it, but want a cheap pocket knife that is also quality. This is one of the options. Also oil your blade, it's D2, which will rust.

Outstanding knife
Knife is a perfect size to carry out daily cutting tasks. I’ll be putting it through some pretty tough work so we’ll see how it stands up but I hear nothing but good reviews about the OKC Rat II in both AUS8 and D2 and so far I can see why. Beautiful design, got a lil heft so it feels durable. I’m impressed and to be honest, already want another

It's okay
I like the knife and I decided to get it in D2. The seller is great, the package arrived ahead of time. But now for the bad things- first, the price that they are asking for is WAY TO HIGH- I could find this exact knife on other websites at a price way lower (40% lower than what I paid). The 2nd problem relates to the knife, a few weeks after I bought it I saw rust forming on the blade. Not a lot of rust, I took some steel wool to it and that removed the rust, but it rusted too easily for me to feel comfortable neglecting the knife. I live in a dry place and but it had been raining before I noticed the rust, so maybe the moisture in the air played a role. I had also left the knife in my glove box for 3 days before it started rusting. I can not recommend this knife in D2 if you plan to leave the knife somewhere for a while. I would HIGHLY recommend buying something to treat the knife so it doesn't rust.1 year update:The knife has been really good, apart from the minor rust issue. If you have to disassemble this knife pay attention to how tight the screws are, and how the washers were arranged. I tried taking this knife apart a few months after I got it to clean the liners and I never got the blade centering right after that, but that was my fault for not being more careful to remember how it was put together. To lubricate the knife I used Pellgunoil which worked fine for me, but I would recommend getting Nano oil which is meant for folding knives. If you have nothing better around, wd40 is fine for treating the blade to prevent rust. The blade came razor sharp and its held a good edge ever since.
