1st bulb burnt out after 2nd night on.2nd bulb burnt out while turning it on the 2nd night. I turned on the light switch & it flashed for half a second & died!What kind of bulbs are these that can’t even make it for 2 nights?!

11/28/2020 Update:These bulbs are great! Long life and a healthy turtle!*******original review*******I'm giving these a test run for a 15 year old red eared slider. She's been happily basking under the first bulb for a while now.I haven't experience any of the issues others have reported. (Fingers crossed)

We have two turtle tanks that use these bulbs. I've had to replace them already. If they are jostled or bumped, the bulbs stop working. If you have it hooked to a timer and they click off, the bulb stops working.They put out a good amount of light, but don't last anytime at all.

I bought these to have as back-ups for when my more expensive bulbs burn out/need to be changed. So my dragons never go without light while waiting for new bulbs. I wanted to give these a fair review because i'm always looking for good inexpensive bulbs for my Herps . These don't quite meet that criteria...BUT they are close. They give off good heat and UV. I left one (well two) in a bearded dragon tank for a month just to compare it with my $30 100W herp bulb. It worked well. No noticeable difference in my dragon and temps were hotter in his basking zone by a couple degrees.The real problem with these bulbs is the quality. I had to replace the one bulb in two weeks as it burnt out. Which is why i used two bulbs for my month test. So I have zero confidence these bulbs would cut it as an everyday bulb for your Herps.Overall a good buy as a back-up/short term bulb.

I ordered these bulbs about a month and a half ago at the time of this review and I am still on the first bulb, it has been on everyday for 12 hours a day and gives off plenty of heat. I could not ask for more, great product at a great price.

The bulbs were a lot smaller than I expected but the over performance is good. This little bulb throws off a good amount of heat for its size. Until now, I have been guilty of spending more money than I would like to admit on bulbs that would blow within days, spending countless hours running back and forth to the store or multiple returns online. The only vice I would say the product has is that the bulb is exposed, it is not guarded by any glass to protect it from any debris that may come in contact with it. Overall this product is worth it and I will buy this product again.

These keep my turtle happily basking and healthy. The proper lighting is crucial for good health and growth. If your current lighting does not have UVA and UVB light, either naturally or from special UV bulbs, you are slowly killing your turtle. Make sure you provide a full spectrum UV light for your turtle.

I am now on my 4th bulb in 8 weeks. I do leave them on for 8 to 10 hours a day, but they burn out very quickly.
