I’ve been using Curology for the past few months to battle some acne, and while the pimples have been taken care of, I’ve never been a huge fan of the facewash. Every time I use it, my skin is screaming for some lotion. I know this means that it is stripping my skin if it’s natural oils and moisture, and with winter coming up I knew I had to get a different wash. After having an organic facial, the esthetician explained that I have a super oily t-zone (obvious) but dehydrated cheeks. She recommended a moisturizing cream facewash. I spent HOURS researching different brands that were natural, organic & cruelty free and was so happy when I found this one. If you’re reading these reviews you’re probably also looking for the best natural facewash. So don’t get confused by “Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate” - this is NOT the same as the horrible Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (aka SLS). It’s derived from a natural amino acid and is used as a mild, gentle cleanser where as SLS is actually a sulfate and can cause irritation. I’ve done research on all of the “chemical” ingredients and they’s nothing to worry about in this wash! The facewash itself is lovely. It’s a white cream that foams very slightly and feels great. The fragrance is not overpowering (it smells like a mix of flowers and earth tones). I washed my face last night and it definitely did not feel as dry as before. I’m planning on pairing this with Tree of Life Hyaluronic Acid Serum & Beauty by Earth Anti-Aging Hydrating Face Cream to battle the winter dryness and rebalance the oils in my skin. For the size, it seems very small but it’s actually more than my Curology wash (which already lasts me 4+ months using once a day). I also pictured it next to a Dove lotion for additional reference. I’m hoping to get maybe 6+ months out of this bottle, which makes the price great! Also, they included a free sample of Facial Cream in my package - so nice!! Plus I appreciate the minimal plastic in their packaging. My only complaint is that I do wish they would mark which ingredients are organic in the list. I also wish they would make a bigger bottle to reduce plastic even more, but I get that they’re made in “small batches” to keep things fresh. Overall I am VERY pleased with this product and will be buying more in the future!!!

I have dry skin and typically use my favorite hand lotion or a touch of coconut oil for cleansing my face. I felt it was time to strive more effectively cleaning my face (hoping to slow the aging process). This product makes my skin feel and look fresh and clean without drying out my skin. As advertised, a little does go a very long way, which is nice. My package included a voucher for a free sample, which was sent quickly and was really free (and without having to leave a review). I loved the eye serum sample, too!

I have been using this product for about two years now and I have found my face wash! I have somewhat acne prone skin that tends to dry out in the winter and was looking for something gentle and made with natural ingredients. I have tried all the different acne face washes and treatments, but my skin was always left dry and irritated after awhile and so I slowly began improving my skin care routine, staying away from harsh chemicals and opting for more natural ingredients. This face wash is fantastic and I will keep buying as long as it’s available. I use it with a konjac sponge and it lathers nicely and has a mild herbal scent, but not too strong. My face always feels really clean and hydrated after washing, and I don’t get that tight dry feeling I used to get with other products. A bottle lasts about 4-6 months, and I only need less than a pump of product for each wash. It is definitely a staple and I can’t go without it! It definitely leaves my skin feeling super clean, calm and hydrated!

I've neglected my face for years, so I decided to get back in the habit of washing my face daily with a facial cleanser. Thanks to the reviewers, I decided on this brand. I also have sensitive skin so I was a little weary when searching. A few years back I used one of the big brand facial cleansers and that turned out horribly. My face swelled and looked deformed. Took a couple days for it to get back to normal. So believe me, I was leery on this search. The feeling of this facial cleanser is amazing. Goes on so soft and smooth. You don't need very much as it lathers up nicely. The smell is great, smells fresh and not strong at all. I will say my overall face appearance has gotten better using this. It looks softer and healthier. Pores look smaller too! But... I have PCOS, one of the side effects for some is hair growth on your face (like under chin, above lip & sides). No I do not look like a man, lol, I'm very feminine looking as I remove any dark hair on my face. But this facial cleanser seems to make it grow thicker and faster! Is it still worth using?... heck yes! Because it feels great on the skin and works. But beware if you have PCOS and struggle with unwanted hair on the face. For a man who wants thicker facial hair, try it!

This product is absolutely phenomenal. No if, ands, or buts about it. I have struggled with skin issues for over 10 years and have never been able to confidently or favourably recommend a company or product like this one. It doesn’t radically change the composition of your skin, but rather promotes your body’s natural and healthy response to heal itself. If you are not in tune with your body you will not notice the effects right away. It took me a bit before I realized “Oh my gosh, my skin isn’t aggressively oily and it doesn’t fluctuate as rapidly and cantankerously as it did before”. Try it, stay consistent, and listen to your body. If you don’t need to moisturize because your skin is already supple and hydrated, don’t! I only moisturize as needed and it has encouraged less breakouts and more balance. This is a healing journey you are on with your body not a time to be impatient about results that may not be gotten by the best means. Be patient and trust the process it takes. I also encourage you to trust companies and products that are deserving of your time, effort and trust. I’ve found Kitchn Apothecary to be so.

It works wonderfully, a small amount goes along way. Has a pleasant texture, is not sticky. Cleans very well without a lot of foam and without drying or irritating my sensitive skin. I keep reordering it!

I would purchase this item again. It left my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed and it lasted me almost a year of use. I love supporting small businesses that create healthy products with ingredients that are not harmful to you or the environment. They are also rated on EWG.org which is where I confirm they are safe to use.
