Tiptree Apricot Conserve, 1x340g

Ordered 2 boxes of 6, 2nd one several weeks after first, so you know we really enjoyed these Apricot Preserves. So why a 4 and not a 5. In the first box of 6, several of the metal lids were pretty badly dented indicating rough handling somewhere along the line. In the second box, one of the jars glass tops was completely broken off, again indicating rough handling or insufficient packaging. Both boxes of 6 jars were delivered to our house by the USPS. Whether the USPS were the carriers throughout or just the final stage, we do not know.

A longtime amazon.com client, I do not write reviews, but am enjoined to do so now, because of the bizarre experience -- much like others have reported.I ordered the six pack of APRICOT preserves. A six pack of RASPBERRY preserves was delivered, of which one jar was smashed to smithereens & three jars had defective seals -- with leaking & safety bubble popped. Only two jars were intact, although of dubious quality.Is the product sterile -- or was the whole batch compromised in production? How come the other jars 'exploded' -- unless faulty handling in the sterilization process?Is the fault with the producer or distributor or amazon fulfillment???Too bad, because it is not easy to find the brand or the wide selection.

Great burst of flavor. No skin. Easy spread over small chunks of fruit.

Second time was the charm! All six bottles arrived intact. And this time they were APRICOT! ALL IS GOOD.
