Excellent system that I installed myself in under ten minutes, easy to operate, works great.
First, a little background. Some jerk had thrown a concrete baseball through one of my bedroom windows about eight weeks ago. Right after this happened, the very same day, I ordered a cheapie system from another company, whose blue name I won't mention. I spent over three weeks trying to get that thing to work, on the phone, online, and it honestly nearly gave me a nervous breakdown. Fast forward to two weeks ago, when I ordered my SimpliSafe system. I installed this myself in under ten minutes, and I'm NOT handy around the house or anything like that. It's that easy to set up and install. Best of all, I'm not on the edge of a nervous breakdown, and this system works. SimpliSafe works very, very well. I got a small system because I live on a fixed income and had just bought a security system (pause for laughter) from these other people. I'll order more parts when I get paid next time. I did order an extra panic button to put on the wall beside my bed, for medical emergencies as well as home intrusion invasions. This system works very well, is dependable, and is a lifesaver, literally, for anyone with major medical problems who's in a bad way. I'm not in poor health, but I'm not getting any younger, either. Plus I needed a panic button there anyway for security. When I call SimpliSafe, which I haven't had to do very often, I don't have to wait over 90 seconds for a live agent. I do think SimpliSafe could vastly improve its online chat feature; you have to answer a bunch of questions and then you get ignored for a while. I never got to the chat part because my dog had to go outside. Excellent product, wonderful security system that's very, very easy to set up and easy to use. If I can set this system up and running in under ten minutes, no one else is going to have any problems, because putting things together is not something I'm good at, for sure. This system gives me the peace of mind to go to bed before 4:00 a.m., which I lost when someone threw a concrete baseball into my bedroom. I just kept finding more and more work to do at night, so I wouldn't have to go to sleep. No more. This is a wonderful starter system for a new SimpliSafe customer like me. I'd give it ten stars if I could. You get a 30-day free trial of their monitoring systems, and then you can get a system yourself at a very reasonable price. You can return the equipment if you don't like it, but I'll bet that doesn't happen very often. I especially like the panic buttons. Sometimes that might be all you have time to push, no time to talk, when you have an emergency. I'd recommend this system, its accessories, and its monitoring plans to anyone who wants to start small and build on that.

So simple and works great
Overall I'm really pleased with the system and the functionality and customer service. I have had it a month and i am sticking with the $27.99 full monitoring plan and I don't think that's too much for peace of mind and protection of my home, family, and belongings. I love the instantaneous response of the sensors and calls from the monitoring center. If you have a security camera of any brand, you get the frustration of delayed or lack of notifications. SimpliSafe sensors are instant! I put a drop of water in my water sensor to test it, and instantly the siren went off, my phone got a notification, and less than 10 seconds later the monitoring center was calling me. This is absolutely crucial during an incident. I have Nest cameras and they're good for knowing what happened after the fact and watching live but NOT good enough if you want to catch someone in the act. I don't have SimpliSafe cameras but i understand they are just as bad with delayed notifications/ missed events. I feel the sensors are a crucial part of a total security system for the very fact that they are instant. That all being said, I want to give it 5 stars but I experienced a total system crash when my internet went out for a few seconds right before I went out of town. The base station unpaired from all of my devices and did not reconnect once the internet was back up. Customer service assured me this is not supposed to happen and are sending me a replacement base station. I was so disappointed that I could not get my system to work at the most important time. I relied on my cameras while I was out of town to watch over my house. I'll give it another chance just because of the fantastic customer service and free replacement equipment and that it works so well when the internet is working.

True Peace of Mind
I purchased this product after multiple break-ins and shootings in my neighborhood and have never felt more safe. Set Up: Incredibly easy and intuitive. Physical elements were easy to put in place and the instructions clearly walk you through how and where to install the for optimal use. Use: Using the product is very straight-forward. Set a 4 digit pin that you use to turn off/deactivate the alarm. There are 3 modes: Home (everything activated except motion detectors), Away (everything activated), and Off. The door sensor dings every time a door is opened and the motion detector is very sensitive and captures a wide range of space. The key fob is especially nice for when you have your hands full coming in the door and can't quite get the code in time. The key fob also has a panic element which is excellent. It doesn't double as a panic button because it doesn't silently alert the police but it will set off the alarm which will in turn call the police. If an alarm is triggered (door, motion, etc.) you receive a notification on your app. You can disable the alarm from your app if you know the cause (i.e. your landlord calls you in a panic because they were trying to fix your dryer and forgot your security code) but if you do not answer SimpliSafe will call you and check in on everything. If you report that you do not know the cause of the alarm the police will be contacted. Extra Services: I highly recommend paying the few cents a day to be able to monitor and activate your system from your phone app. Customer Service: Phenomenal. Two months into having my system my puppy chewed through the power cord to my base-system. Angel at customer service promptly shipped out a new one with next day shipping free of charge. The whole phone call from dialing to hanging up was 4 minutes long.
