Great product. You will need to go to Google store for apps to operate. Manual could be improved.
Great device. Awesome price. Shipped quickly. Well packaged. Lots off free stuff, if you are ok with commercials. Directions that came with it were very scarce. They didnt tell you you need to down load a few apps. Tried contacting customer service via email. About an hour later, got a response. They seemed confused with my question. But I figure out they were looking at the wrong device. And so was I when I first logged into amazon. Figure it all out on my own, but I'm good with technical stuff. Once I got to the home screen and download the appropriate apps the rest was pretty straight forward. Remote is simple feels good in the hand. Not fully functional because the volume did not work. My TV is not among the listed, but it still works. I use my universal remote to adjust the sound. Alexa works well...cant always find things, so you need to find the right wording. Slight band with issue in the beginning, but it seemed to work itself out. Be sure you have a good quality well positioned antenna. And of course, Wi-Fi. This device connects to your Amazon acct. And you will need to set that up. Go to home screen to shut off by pushing sleep icon. Turns on by tpuchimg any button. Overall, very pleased. Very good product. Bought two, which is the limit you can use in one residence without a splitter. Haven't set up the second one up yet, should be a lot easier.

Really great device for the price
Is it as snappy as a 2019 Apply TV? No. But for less than half the price I would recommend the Fire Stick and I own both. Got this for my old war horse plasma 65 inch and it's worth every penny. If you are coming from an older device, this will be a marked improvement. It buffers quickly and opens and closes apps fast. One of the things I really like is the Bluetooth capability. At the time of purchase, I had no idea I could hookup my Bluetooth studio headset and watch silently while my GF sleeps. Game changer for me. Also the voice remote is awesome, we had this with Xfinity and loved it. It's quick and accurate and rarely misses what you command. I also like that the device searches several different platforms for the content you search for. A voice search will prompt a search of all your streaming apps as well as rental or buying options. IE it will tell you available to stream on Netflix, Hulu whatever or that the only option is to buy This leads me to the only things sorta annoying which is that when you search it will often times tell you that renting or buying is the only option when the show or movie you searched for is definitely on Netflix or something else. Sort of misleading and you have to go to more "ways to watch" to see that its actually free on one of these apps. Also If i had one suggestion it would be to have an input button on the remote so we could do away with the old TV remote and also possibly back lit buttons for low light watching but that it is really searching for something to complain about. Excellent product

Awesome upgrade from the original fire stick
I have the original fire stick and I love it. I have 2 TVs, 1 in my living room and 1 in my bedroom. Because I love the original fire stick (gift from my son β€) I finally decided to get a 2nd for my bedroom. I bought this upgraded fire stick on Prime Day. I got it yesterday. I'm amazed that the remote can link to my TV and control the TV. I read from other reviewers that it powers on their TV. If this is true, then I will be ecstatic. My TV remote is HUGE and I hate it. The TV was built in 2006 so the TV and remote are huge. Both work great. I was originally going to just use my Chromecast as I love the casting from room to room without losing my place. However, since the fire stick remote controls the TV I am rethinking my thoughts. I was amazed that the fire stick was soooooo easy to set up. It recognized my Wi-Fi ID and my password for the WI-FI. I did not need to give the code. I think that it picked up all the information that the original fire stick has, including Wi-Fi information. This makes the upgraded fire stick the easiest set up ever. I also noticed that the speed of the processor is incredible. Not once have I noticed any buffering. I do get buffering from my other 3 devices. Guess it's time to replace my original fire stick with this one. This fire stick replaced my Roku which I've had for years and still works fine. The reason why I replace the Roku was that Roku seems to be incompatible with Hulu Live (love it BTW). It keeps shutting off the program that i am watching making me yo go back into my Hulu account again. Just imagine, you're watching a show and just at the most interesting part, it flicks and goes back to the home screen. Ahhhhh!!!! Since this fire stick performs so well, I'm thinking of not even using my 2 Chromecasts anymore. Now that's progress! The 2 Chromecasts do have some lagging and that's why I'm thinking of just using the fire stick and buying a new one for the living room. If anyone was on the fence about buying this fire stick, don't be. This purchase was well worth the money. Go for it!! I was going to upgrade my internet because I thought the lagging was them, nope. This fire stick has out performed my wildest dreams. Go buy this, fire stick you won't be sorry!! Oh one last thing, I've noticed that some reviewers have complained about opening up the battery case. It's actually easy, you simply press dojwn on the circle at the top and push the cover to the opposite side. You will hear a little pop. That's releasing the lock. Then you will see a small space where the circle is, just stick your fingernail (presuming your nail is not so bitten to the point where it's below the nail line) and push. Easy peasy! Amazon clearly have their products hooked up! I love the ease of Amazon, hands down. β€. If my opinion changes about the upgraded fire stick, I'll post an update. UPDATE: Its very easy to navigate the fire stick but if you can't find something all you have to do is ask Alexa and she will find it for you. It also fully takes charge of your TV. There is nothing you need With the original clunky remote. Unless you want to access your HDMI ports. But with all that the fire stick offers, you don't need another dongle. I will be using the fire stick only. It's so wonderful to use one small, comprehensive remote. Basically Amazon has updated the fire stick to make it a universal remote. Now I'm going to buy a remote cover so I can easily see my new "universal" remote in the dark. β€π I purchased a second Fire Stick from a big box store. I'm sorry that I did. When you buy a Fire Stick through Amazon, they load it with your account information making set up super easy. When you buy one through the box box stores they are generic and set up was a bit more difficult. Suggestion folks but your Fire Stick through Amazon and forget the big box stores! Wish I would have known this before I purchased my second one! Never again!!
