ZooBoo Japanese Kimono Obi Belt - Mens Traditional Vintage Waist Judo Wrap Waistband Pattern

I was happy to see that the quality of the obi for surprisingly really good thick material the color is as described at least for what I picked for my kimono but right out of the packaging you will be dealing with some creasing that is to be expected of how it was folded but nothing that a good steamer can't handle I personally am going to leave mine hanging on a hanger with my kimono and hope for the creases to undo themselves before the Sakura season but it is great to have a obi that's pretty easy to learn how to put on the instructions to come but they are in Japanese if you can't read it maybe a translator will help but the visual guides to kind of tell you what to do and they're pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it it's easy

I was hopeful when this obi belt arrived, the fabric is beautiful and tasteful. The belt has a weird knot bow and Velcro that is excessive, imo. I decided to keep the obi but cut off the weird knot. Then it became like a wrap belt. Unfortunately, it wrapped around multiple times and makes my waist appear thicker than I’d like. I will probably mess with it some more so the belt wrap part doesn’t look too thick. It has Velcro which makes the ends stay, but adds extra width to my waist which I don’t need. I loved the fabric, it would probably be awesome for a thinner person. So 4 stars

I wouldn’t think it was a difficult thing to just get a piece of cotton long enough and fashioned into a belt. It didn’t have instructions in English so it makes it extremely confusing and harder than it needs to be. Overall good quality but kinda disappointed that it’s not a real obi

I gave it 3 stars because this is not what I was looking for. You get what you pay for I suppose. Firstly, the instructions were in Chinese and I couldn’t read it. Also, this product has Velcro and a pre-tied and stitched knot, which I couldn’t figure out how to use because I couldn’t read the instructions and the pictures didn’t suffice. So this is very much not a traditional Obi, do not buy if you want any sort of quality or don’t speak Chinese. I only gave it 3 stars because it was so cheap—this product might be appropriate for a cheap Halloween costume or something (again, providing you can read Chinese).

This was exactly what I needed to wear my yukata in an informal setting and not have to go through the actual tying of the obi belt makes things so much easier. I love that this can also be worn with jeans and a kimono style top. It is high quality and I am confident it will withstand a lot of use.
