Initial Impressions Very Favorable - Still Very Favorable after nearly 2 years!
Received my grinder on April 15. Initial impressions are very favorable. The grinder set looks nice, was easy to fill, and has initially operated excellently. It was easy to adjust the mechanism to get the desired fineness for both salt and pepper. Hopefully this grinder will provide excellent service for quite some time. Update on May 6: Having used this grinder daily since I have received it I can honestly say I am very pleased and quite impressed. Filling is easy and the control of the grind is excellent. Update April 9, 2017: I have owned this grinder for almost two years now and am still very pleased with it. I use it 5 or six times a week and it still grinds well. I have not had any issue with adjusting the grind when I need to do so. The only minor issue I have had, and one that I see in some of the reviews, is that one of the end caps has become loose and does not always want to stay in tact. To me this is a minor annoyance and not a major issue -- for others it would be an issue. Overall I have been very happy with this grinder.

Excellent, spacious, good looking mill!
I had ordered a pair of powered mills with lights which arrived defective. I searched for a replacement and found this. It looks cool and it takes up half the space. I ordered it, not expecting all that much. I was pleasantly surprised! The mill seems to be well made and works exceedingly well with the pink Himalayan salt and the pepper melange I enjoy. I use this everyday and it feels solid, it accepts and holds a good amount of seasoning, and adjusts from a very fine grind (which I like for the salt) to a very coarse grind (which I enjoy with the pepper). All in all, very happy and I would highly recommend the mill. Along with it the follow-up and customer service from the seller has been top notch. Thank you!

Works well, but has a few flaws
Great grinder. We've been using it for a couple years now and still use it almost daily. It seems like it will last a lifetime. A couple things I don't really love about it though: For some reason, it just doesn't feel like it can get the salt fine enough and the pepper coarse enough. We've really played with it for some time trying to get it right, but it just doesn't quite get there. Pretty darn close though. Probably not a big deal, but if I were to buy another grinder, I wouldn't personally get this one again. Also, the little metal lids fall off easily. For ours, the pepper one fits more snugly than the salt one, so we always have to keep the salt side up. It's just something that we have to worry about when we use it that I wish we didn't. Twisting the lids helps a little because they're not perfectly round, so there is usually a spot that fits more snugly and the lid won't fall off hopefully. We considered just tossing the lids because of this, but after a couple days of not using the lids, there was a little collection of pepper flakes in our cupboard, so the lids went back on. Lastly, while I like the large quantity, I just wish it were just a LITTLE bit wider and just a LITTLE bit shorter. Fitting it in a cupboard that's as tall as the average, it just barely fits, so we ended up moving it to a less desirable cupboard that was taller, just so it wasn't a pain to take it out and maneuver around the other things in the cupboard. Overall, still satisfied with the grinder, and I can't justify buying a new one, but I kind of wish we had a different one.

Stop the suffering. You don't have to deal with an inferior grinder any more!
Ah the lowly salt and pepper grinders. After our old cheap set of them just kind of stopped working 6 months ago, I wound up taking them apart and gluing some bits back together, and put up with them for a bit longer. But they were messy, had to have their own tray on the counter, and didn't do a decent grind at all. After a frustrating morning with my eggs, trying to get enough salt and pepper on them to give them the flavor pop they so desperately needed, I heaved the old ones into the trash and began my search. Fortunately, this search didn't force me to cross the sea, scale a mountain, or use a plane to get to a remote island to find the perfect grinder. A quick stop on Amazon with some reading of reviews, and it appeared that my search was over. It couldn't be that simple, could it? With visions of a single turn on the grinder and a perfectly seasoned egg, I eagerly pressed the buy it now button and waited. Although I knew that an extra day of waiting might well be the death of me, I stuck it out and somehow made it until that Monday when my new precious arrived. On Monday, I made what I hoped would be my last sad omelette, having to resort to an old bottle of ground white pepper in the spice rack. Around 2 in the afternoon, my security system began to yell loudly. Warning me of either a pending alien invasion or the UPS truck. Fortunately for the human race it was the latter, as usual. Although my rather loud (and large) security system might disagree. I opened up the package, which for a change didn't look like it had been used to beat away a pack of ravening hyenas, and there it was. The perfect grinder. Caps on top and bottom and a see through storage compartment in all it's glory. Immediately I grabbed the grey Hawaiian sea salt (which I had crossed the sea to get, many years ago in my youth) and filled up one side. I laughed when I turned it over and no salt was wasted on the counter top. I grabbed the full jar of peppercorns from my rack, and dumped the whole thing into the grinder. Seriously? The whole jar? Not just most of it so I'd forget to get more and run out? Yeah. The WHOLE jar. Eager to test it, I ran to the sink. I began to grind some salt- and a more even grind I could not ask for. I replaced the cap (Ha! Still not dumping any extra salt down the drain!) and switched to the pepper side, with the same result. The grinder felt great in my hands, with positive feedback that in fact, it was putting out just the right amount of pepper. This morning, as I finish my perfectly seasoned eggs and hash browns, I recall how long I'd suffered with an inferior way of grinding salt and pepper. Fortunately, my hunger sated for now, I sit contented. Knowing that my days of suffering are over, as the perfect grinder was now in my kitchen.

Attractive. Grinds both salt & pepper in perfect amounts and is easy to turn even for arthritic hands. Good quality.
Another good item from Lifestyle Dynamics. I like that company. It's well made and attractive to have on stove or table. After several grinds with nothing coming out, I realized I'd left the cap on. lol I'm used to grinders that just grind out the bottom so it took a few times for me to remember that if I really wanted salt or pepper, it'd be best if I removed the cover first! It fits nicely in my hand and isn't a problem despite the arthritis I have in my thumbs so it grinds easily and that's a plus. The amount ground is also adequate. You don't have to grind for 1 minute to get a few bits and pieces and that's another plus. It's easy to keep clean by just wiping it off and having a small cover over the salt end and the pepper end keeps my counter/table clean. I'm pleased with its quality, lightness, and ease of grinding.

Salt and pepper
Spice crafts salt and pepper grinder is a nice 2 in one grinder. It looks nice and does the job. We use the pink Himalayan salt and then some corse black pepper in ours. As you can see in my pictures we go through a lot of salt and pepper. We like the design and it looks nice. It's easy to fill, justhe take the cap off like normal, u crew the pieces and fill, rescued and your good. This one is a hand turning motion. I guess fancier than a normal salt and pepper shaker but there's even nicer ones out there that are automatic when you flip them. We purchased this one and Ithe fits our needs. After a little bit of use you will notice some paint scratching off the caps and the metal will start having grooves and scratches. Doesn't affect product at all. The picture of the salt is a lot just to show you how it would look grinded. Posted a picture with a yard stick to show you about how tall it is. It holds quite a bit. We ordered this, the salt (the spice lab) ane pepper (black peppercorns 70z) all at the same time so we would have it all readue to get started using it the day it arrived. Pretty happy with it. Thanks

AVOID! Broke on my first refill
I purchased this grinder for myself last Christmas (‘20, so just over a year ago). I live alone and work very long hours so I rarely cook (seriously, once a month, maybe), and this grinder has been used very sparingly. I unscrewed the black wingnut gently (none of the parts are very heavy duty, so it’s immediately evident you shouldn’t really crank on anything) to gain access to the white adjusting cap (which has to come out so you have access to the chamber for the refill) and the threaded rod snapped off inside the wingnut. Now the salt side of my grinder is useless. I wrote to the company over a week ago with pictures and all my my original order info. to pursue their supposed warrantee, and I haven’t heard a word back. I understand that salt is corrosive (I live in the northeastern corner of the US, where it’s mostly colder and dryer, and it’s been stored ALWAYS in a cool, dark cabinet) and this grinder is “only” $15 but this is a salt grinder and should be built to withstand it’s literal only purpose, right? …and I work hard for that $15, so it’ll be spent elsewhere next time, and I recommend you do the same if you want something that won’t likely fail when you need it. **I will update this review if I do hear back from them.

Looks sleek on counter, but caps can be improved
This dual salt and pepper mill was purchased to replace a dual mill of another brand I’d had for more than 20 years. My old mill did not have a cap and I was looking forward to less scatter on the counter. To be brief, I’ve had the mill for about a month and here’s what I’ve experienced: it takes more time to remove the caps than to actually use the grinders. The grinders work great! The adjustable dials for the ceramics, once tuned in, are superb. Each side holds nearly 3/4 cup of salt crystals or peppercorns - more than twice as much as my old mill. But, getting those caps on and off is a real pain. I’ve nearly dropped them into my cooking on more than one occasion. If not for this issue, I’d have 5-stars across the board. Suggestion to the manufacturer: Make the caps hinged with a push-button pop-top mechanism (& safety latch to prevent spilling). I’ve seen these on bird feeders, of all things, and it’s very useful when filling one-handed.
