Modern Aramaic-English/English-Modern Aramaic Dictionary & Phrasebook: Assyrian/Syriac

Very good book. I don't think that only this book will help you speak the assyrian/syriac language fluently but it's a good start.

I have been looking for a good dictionary of modern Eastern and Westery Syriac, and have been unsuccessful. Most dictionaries and lexicons I have found deal with classical or biblical Syriac/Aramaic. This book provides a good collection of words and phrases used in modern Syriac (Assyrian). I appreciate the dictionary and the phrases being given in both Western and Eastern Assyrian because this helps with speech. But I also would like to see the words both written in their Latin transliteration as well as in the Western Script (Serto) and the Eastern Script (Nestorian). This would be of great help when one sees these words while traveling in these areas of Assyria or when reading contemporary Assyrian literature.

it is good enough,but its vocabulary is very brief and relatively poor.It is more a phrasebook than a dictionary...I think it needs to be improved.
