This brand you can't go wrong.This is definitely great quality filter simply clean it and you can use it over and over again. It's definitely got a longevity to it. It takes all the smell out with the carbon. It's a great deal for the money you get very good airflow. And it's very easy to install it highly recommended. You won't go wrong with this one. And like I said, you can't clean it and reuse it. That's that good

Fits my 2015 Tacoma. Although the instructions say it will only fit one way, am able to fit both ways, one more snug than the other. The diagram shows the rows of the filter material pointing perpendicular to the dash, so went with that. Also should point out this is a dry filter, so no need to oil.

I bought this K&N cabin air filter for my 2007 Tacoma because it's washable. I have "dry" K&N air intake filters on my Tacoma and motorcycle and love how easy it is to clean them. I assume this is also a dry filter which uses no oil; simply wash with dish soap & water and let dry.The filter itself is typical K&N quality; built to last several zombie apocalypses. The dimensions are pretty close to the original paper filter (see picture) and slid into the filter slot without any issues. I called K&N customer service to confirm the top/bottom orientation and the guy told me the type molded on the side (VF2005, logo and "Made in USA") should be oriented right side up (see picture). It's fairly heavy for a filter so the middle part seems to sag just a tiny bit. I think the closed door will hold it in place though, so I'm really not worried about it. The included stickers are a nice touch.As for the smell... other reviewers have complained the filter produces a rubber smell. I think it's closer to the smell of brand new carpet, which to me is a pleasant smell. Even if it did smell like rubber, that wouldn't bother me because I usually smell like 2-stroke exhaust. I do think rubber smell should be included in the collection of manly fragrances: WD-40, diesel fuel, lumber, castor oil, and 2-stroke exhaust (among others). There's nothing quite like taking a nice, big whiff off a brand new set of tires... ah, rubber smell!😊I'm really happy with my new cabin air filter and hope the new carpet smell lasts a very long time. Also, in the event of a zombie apocalypse, my mind will be put at ease because I can easily wash my K&N cabin air filter in the nearest river or stream. Hmmm... fish smell? That brings me comfort.Thank you K&N!

K&n always comes through. My ac blows harder than even when my truck was new. Easy install. It takes less than three minutes.

Build quality is EXCELLENT. Design is EXCELLENT (with one shortfall). The screening covering both sides of the filter will discourage the occasional mouse from chewing the filter material and the washability is a great money saver. However, the length & width dimensions for the item I received are approximately 1/16" smaller than the OEM filter. That seems like an insignificant number, but when you're trying to filter tiny dust, pollen, etc, 1/16" is quite significant. In my 2015 Tacoma, there's no "ledge" on the inner walls of the air box enclosure as you slide the filter into place so there's a narrow-but-open path on the edges of the undersized filter through which smaller particles can pass into the fan and eventually the passenger cabin. I was able to wiggle the K&N filter side-to-side after installation even when I installed the widest dimension of the filter to fill the side-to-side orientation. The play was even larger when the filter was rotated 90 degrees. The OEM filter had no play and had a clear friction fit. The OEM and the K&N filters each have differences between their respective length and width. Attached are 4 photos to show all 4 cases. Compare the two short dimensions and the two long dimensions. I used two framing squares as a giant caliper to make the measurement. The photos aren't perfect, but I made the measurements several times and the average clearly showed 1/16 inch difference as mentioned above. Note that the orientation of the filter ribs of the K&N filter are 90 deg to the OEM filter when positioned similarly for long and short sides. This isn't an issue but I mention so someone reading this and looking at the photos doesn't think I've confused the comparison of the filter's dimensions.HOWEVER!!!! The quality and design (except for the dimensions) of this filter are so superior to the OEM that I ended up modifying the undersized dimensions by applying 1/16" adhesive-backed dense foam tape to two adjacent sides of the K&N filter. With the foam tape in place, the filter slid in with a smooth friction fit and no side-to-side play. The trap door closed with no extra force compared to the OEM filter.I would highly recommend this product, but only if you're ready to improve the fit if you want a good seal.

Fix perfect

Bought this to keep from having to pay ridiculously high prices for a cheap filter. Lifetime use as long as you maintain it. Lasts 3 years before you have to clean it. Dealership service department tried to get me to pay the same price for a cheap paper filter that won’t last one year. Not anymore
