Best soft thumb splints
I originally got one of these for each hand from my physical therapist. I have hEDS and a lot of problem with the MCP and CMC joints in both hands. These braces are supportive for both for my situation. It allows for movement without excessive restriction, is very soft to the rest of the hand, but still provides support, compression and gentle stability to those joints without interfering with the rest of the fingers or wrist.Worth noting - If you need immobilization of one or both of these joints this is not the right splint for you.My therapist molded an insert for each hand to mostly immobilize the MCP joints, which is very helpful for night time use. I have a couple of sets of these now. One set that has been stretched with the thumb inserts and another to wear when I need lighter support or for daily use. Definitely my go to to rest my thumbs.

Strength, dependable support
I rely on these gloves to support my "artist" thumb - they call it a quilters, knitter's, or jeweler's thumb, but all my same-age friends seem to have this arthritic thumb, regardless of our crafting abilities. These gloves allow me to do most of my daily activities with the assurance of support while lending the necessary capability too. I draw with these on, hand writing isn't so great, but is acceptable. I have slept with the gloves on and awakened with pain-free hands. This is my 2nd sent now and I will always have these around when I need to use my hands for any activity needing strength and physical dependability. They wash and dry easily too. My first pair lasted a year of heavy use before the thumb velcro wore out, but i still use them, just don't wear them in public. Ha Ha - so styling!

Great brace
My orthopedic doctor recommended this when I twisted my thumb really bad. The hand therapist said it was the perfect one. Made using my left hand pretty much pain free until I had enough therapy.

Edges wear quickly
Although the design and comfort of these splint gloves are quite good, the edges ravel rapidly even with ordinary daily use - you have to cut off the strings after almost every wear, especially around the thumb. With the Covid virus, washing them daily (by hand) can become not only time-consuming but necessitates buying several pairs. Because they can't be machine dried, you need several pairs so aren't without them while drying - plus, they are VERY expensive. With consistent wear, they do help curb the pain with my severe hand arthritis, but I do wish they could be a part of my insurance like other splint type accessories. They were highly recommended by the PT and are better by far than the ones found at a local drugstore.

Thumb splints fit perfectly and work well
These splints are perfect. The fit my hands (I bought both a left and right) perfectly. They help my sore thumbs and wrists as well. The only problem is that sometimes the Velcro on the bottom part of the splint rubs my wrist. It's hard to line it up perfectly so the Velcro doesn't have contact with skin.... because you put it on with one hand. But it's not a huge problem and the splints are so nice if you are doing lifting or other work and they can be worn to bed as well. They are great!

Some Support but Not Enough
These thumb supports fit nicely and are comfortable. However, they do not provide enough support when doing activities. They make holding a walk pole more difficult as wearing them necessitates widening the grip which stresses the joint. I’ve tried wearing them during yoga to support thumbs when assuming certain positions that put weight on the hands. They are just OK. For me, crepe tape and kinesiology tapes feel like they can support and target the joint better. I was hopeful when purchasing these

I can sleep in this brace
Most comfortable, cool, thumb brace. I've tried many over the counter and they were so tight my circulation cut off. That's no good for me. These are so worth the price. I had one for 7 years that my orthopedic hand specialist had given me. Unfortunately, my dog got it and it was no where to be found. While browsing online I saw the Comfort Cool brand and ordered it immediately. This brace for thumb problems is so worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Very comfortable to wear.
There is no cure for the arthritis in my thumb and wrist, this helps to make it comfortable and keeps the swelling down. It was recommended by my doctor and it works well.
