Jamie Oliver Does Not Just Write "Cook Books" He Writes a Way of Life - a Simpler One
Recently, I bought three of Jamie Oliver‘s cookbooks because he was doing some wild demonstration on Facebook. He had mentioned one of his new books was Five Ingredients , Quick and Easy Food that definitely appealed to me. Only five?Once on Amazon, I ended up ordering three books of Jamie Oliver’s. I had a hard time picking between many of them so I splurged and bought three cool looking books written by Jamie Oliver. I’ve always adored Jamie since the first time I saw him in London a few decades ago and I noticed he worked very hard to keep the big networks away from owning him and fat cats that want to steal the profit off artists like Jamie, usually ending up owning the artist own catalog. I really admired him for not taking big money and keeping his focus on his own interest such as revamping the London school system food where he made global awareness that school food does not have to suck or cost more.When his books arrived I thumbed through a few of them and I realized quickly, Jamie Oliver does not write “just” cookbooks.He doesn’t just sell recipes, he sells entire lifestyles, purity, happiness, and the reader inadvertently learns how to handle that asparagus, or garlic, how to store it, and things we never really think much about. And he does not use very many words actually to get the point across.Just from the five minute quick and easy food book I learned he truly can take the most pathetic refrigerator of a bachelor or bachelorette that can contain only old Parmesan cheese from a party, mushrooms that have been sitting in the back of the fridge for a month, cloves of garlic that do not yet have a destination, and fresh sage from perhaps a garden whip them together, bake them for 30 minutes at 400 degrees and transform these ingredients, into a beautiful roasted mushroom garlic side dish!I am caring for a person that needs to eat 6000 calories a day. That is a challenge and I’m a busy author myself. But I love this person and he hast to eat 6000 cal a day which is almost like eating every hour on the hour. It was a stroke. They blew up his pituitary gland and for some reason his body metabolizes at the speed of light. He’s actually underweight because it’s just really hard to eat 6000 calories a day. Thank you, Jamie Oliver. I’ll be using your books basically exclusively to help my friend eat, eat and eat some more! Deborah Dolen ~ Author

Wonderful easy recipes
Great food with easy to cook recipes.First day I made the Super Green Spaghetti along with the Smoky Chorizo Salmon.Next day I made the Quick Asian Fishcakes and had it with the leftover Super Green Spaghetti.Everything was delicious and reheated well. Even the leftover fishcakes were delicious reheated in the microwave two days later.I’m Only disappointed that the books cover and binding were already broken and peeling at the edges.I’m not returning the book because it was only $19.99 and if I had purchased it at Barnes and Noble the book would have been close to the $35.00 price on the cover.It’s not worth $35.00 in the bad condition I received it but with free shipping and $19.99 Amazon Prime price I can buy some type of adhesive laminate and fix it to last for ten to twenty years.It’s not a lifetime quality book like my other cookbooks but I love the recipes and the pictures are gorgeous.The Food I made with Jamie Oliver’s recipes were done with little effort and were super delicious.Delicious food made easily is the main purpose of my purchase and I’m happy with the quality of the contents!Give it a go and you’ll be amazed at how great the food tastes when following he’s easy to make recipes.

These recipes work!
I have cooked 10 of the recipes so far. They ALL work. Peachy pork chops took 10 minutes to prepare and the flavor payoff was amazing. Garlicky crispy chicken breast was delicious and the lemon and oil on the arugula was excellent with the breaded chicken. Your tastebuds dance. The roasted chicken with curry paste alongside the cauliflower and potatoes was moist and full of flavor. I took the leftover chicken carcass and it made the best chicken noodle soup.( the chicken noodle soup is not in the cookbook) . I have never liked the young Jamie Oliver because I thought he was full of himself however since he has married and has a family he has become more grounded and it shows in his work. He is the real deal. He is excellent and gifted when it comes to pulling flavor out of food. And he is excellent in teaching his techniques and dedicated to making food casual, quick , and very delicious. Jamie does not disappoint in this cookbook . Whether one likes him or not, you can not deny how gifted this young man is when it comes to technique and flavor.

I’ve only done one recipe because I had the ingredients.
I love my book. I was excited about the fact that you only need five ingredients. But the problem comes in when you can’t find an ingredient that he says that he needs for this recipe. And it happens all the time. I’ve looked in the stores. I can’t find the ingredients. He always has one item that comes out of a jar. I don’t know why I can’t find these ingredients.
