Good way to get that rooster to shut up
We had to adjust the collar a few times. You can't see the collar because it is under his feathers. He will still crow, but it's much softer and less frequent. He is not as loud as the hens now. Over time he has crowed less and less. He still acts like a jerk though.

Works for four, maybe five days.
Was hoping my experience would be different than the other reviewers, but same. Takes real patience and fínese to get the fit just right. Just before strangling the chicken the crowing is reduced to about 50% volume. This was fine for me, but the collars lasted less than a week before the Velcro stopped working and now they won’t even stay on. They’re worthless now, total waste of money.

At least it worked
Even tho they work, they are a bit flimsy and small. I had to use 2 on my rooster.

Did not work for me.
1st issue this is the "Big" size is clearly not big enough. It covered a very small region of my Partridge Rock Roo's neck and he could fully expand the area above the collar and crow full volume. I tried stitching too bands together but as I continued to tighten over a couple days to try and get the thing tight enough so he would not crow, it seemed like a fine line between no crowing and death - as what happened to at least one reviewer. It was also breaking neck feathers, etc. This is a spectacular Roo and I hated to do that. I gave up on this. I am currently bringing him in at night and putting him in a large cage so he does not bother my neighbors but not sure how long I will keep that up. I am glad this works for some.

Choking chickens 😂
Yes, we choked our chicken! We got this because we had a rooster in town and I wanted to keep him. It worked fairly well. He was able to get it off though. And eventually he learned how to crow through it, and I ended up taking him out to a friends farm. But the value for the product itself is excellent and it does work.

Best collar, wide band
I ordered 3 different brands of crow collars to compare. In the past, I used the original no crow collar which is great but much more expensive ($30). Of the cheap ones that I ordered, this is the best because the band is wider. The other two brands ended up being quite narrow. The others had a plastic loop to turn back the velcro, and I like that feature, but with the narrower band it just didn't stop the crowing. I think this wider band is going to work great. I'll update this with a report in the morning. :)if you've never used a no crow collar before, the trick is to feel down to the very bottom of your chicken's neck, where the neck enters the body. Lift up all of the feathers, and strap the collar under the feathers at the lowest point on the neck. This is where the air sack is, which they inflate in order to crow. If they can't fill the sack, they can't make a loud crow sound. They still try, and it's a weak little wimpy crow sound, which is much better for the neighbors!! :)

Poorly made product, highly disappointed.
Product was ineffective. Item cheaply made. I received 2 items, A Yellow collar and a Red collar. Both collars were identical (except in color). I have two roosters. One bigger than the other. Collar never fit the LARGER rooster. Cut way too small. And it barely fit on the small roster. It was obvious Velcro strap was poorly made. Both the poor quality of material as well as the strap being too thin and short made it unusually easy for my small rooster to continuously remove the collar. I eventually had to resort with a whole different vendor where I received 10 collars instead of 2, and were less expensive as well. And yes, the new vendor's collars fit both my roosters.

It works on bantams
You can’t just put this thing on and think that your rooster will never cry again. It takes a few days of adjusting it a little bit tighter and a little bit tighter and making sure that your little guy can still breathe. I finally got to the perfect point today he can still grow a little but it is so quiet I can’t even hear it inside the house and yes he is a Bantam and it works just great. Fantastic product I can keep my little rooster now.
