Shri Vijnana Bhairava Tantra: The Ascent

Beyond words.
Exploratory journey into the rich, beautiful & dense world of Tantra & Kashmiri Shaivism. There are lot of similarities it shares with Vedanta & Yoga. As the author mentions, "Tantra means to stretch the mind, and in doing so to remove and liberate it from its bondage. Different names have been given for this process during different periods in history; however, the outcome is the same. It is not as if tantra says anything different from vedanta or yoga; it simply uses different terms which point in the same."And goes on to say, "The mind is continually sending out waves in the form of thoughts. These thoughts have weight, quality, frequency and outward movement. They drag the mind to the outer experience. If these thought patterns are obstructed, which is possible with effort and practice, stillness occurs. Then the mind, having no alambana, or support, enters into a void. If this experience is sustained and deepened, the highest awareness is experienced, which is a state of fullness."I am not qualified to comment further, but this definitely is a hidden gem.

Beautiful work of exploration of Bhairava
This book needs your attention and time cause it’s not a story it explains how to control your mind and emotions and do austerity. A beautiful book for a spiritual reader

Magnificent treatise!
I got what I was looking for, and way more... There are endless books on the subject, but this one is just pristine because of how clearly and wholly the Vigyan Bhairav has been examined and explained, within the colossal seeming cosmos of tantra. An irreplaceable resource.

Book quality is good, content not so much
Pages and Book itself is great. I did not like the way the content is presented though. It is not thorough in places needed and vice versa

Just wow, blown away
Its deep philosophical stuff with Sanskrit mantras, and its pronunciation, translation & explanation.I thought its gonna be just Tantric methods, but its way more than that.Vijnana Bhairava tantra seems to be another text like Bhagavat Gita that every Hindu should read, but for some reason not that popular.I was scared of the translation as our pandits have this habit of unnecessarily using archaic & hard English to show their pedantry, This was nothing like that. Its easy readable like any other spiritual best sellers. And its not at all dry also.
