Best Scroll Frame Ever
This is a great frame for cross stitch. The fabric is held tightly with an even tension. I haven’t used it for embroidery, but I’m sure it will work just as well. The frame is smooth and very sturdy. It’s also very easy to assemble and I love that it’s adjustable to the size fabric you’re using. Definitely recommend.

Easy to assemble, fantastic for stitching large areas!
Not sure about the negative reviews on this, this frame works amazingly well for larger cross stitch projects and I found it incredibly easy to put together and use. I was making a Christmas stocking for my daughter and was continuously fed up with with round embroidery hoops that popped off constantly. My mother-in-law was working on a cross stitch project on a similar frame to this that she’s had since the 80’s and I immediately wanted to find something similar. When working with a larger Aida fabric size, this frame is great because it keeps the entire piece attached to the frame and you just have to loosen the knobs to move it to the area you’re currently working on (great for Christmas stockings!).The round embroidery hoops would cause the Aida to get distorted (as can be seen somewhat in the photo before I discovered this frame), but because the Aida gets snapped into this frame at the top & bottom, it stays taut and is much easier to stitch. The only slight negatives is that the wooden frame is slightly heavy after sitting and stitching for extended periods of time, and when you don’t have a lot of extra Aida at the top or bottom (like with the Christmas stocking kit, as they provide the bare minimum amount of fabric), it gets a little harder to stitch close to the bars. The frame itself is super sturdy, and while the package was in Russian (!) it was easy and intuitive to figure out how to put it together. I will likely order one for smaller projects as well because this is so much easier and sturdier than the flimsy round embroidery hoops for actually stitching!

Nice frame, but unclear dimensions
Nice quality, nice design (without the wingnuts sticking out, damaging things, and the bolts that just turn because you can’t tighten it as much, which my older, cheaper ones all have). So far it stays tight!Time will tell how long the plastic clips will last. Once they break, I’m not sure what one would use for that purpose. My only complaint is that the photo showing the dimensions was incorrect. Intuitively, the listed measurements matching the working area makes perfect sense, and I should have ordered from what was listed in the description. But I was too cautious about that, and searched the photos in the listing to be sure - the one that shows the dimensions on the frame shows them being to the outside of the frame and knobs, not the working area. So I ordered one size larger than I needed to, and it’s more unwieldy than necessary. Wish I had stepped down one size. To some extent it’s my own fault, but I was presented with what turned out to be contradictory information.

Love it, does exactly what I needed
Does what it says on the tin. Instructions were clear. I like my fabric taught as a snare drum head and, at first, there was a little slippage, but I spent some time really tightening everything all up and now it's great. It's been taught for over a week. Nice and light, easy to flip over when doing work on the back. I plan to use it for any future 12inx12in projects to avoid hoop lines.

Sturdy
Very sturdy and holds my canvas tight. Easy to adjust to whatever size you need.

Great product
Easy to assemble and use. Holds the fabric better than most so you don't need to continuously adjust it. The knobs make it easier to tighten than the wing nuts on some frames and it's sturdier while still relatively lightweight. Looking into getting another one in a smaller size.

Superb Scroll Frame
I have several DMC beechwood scroll frames with webbing that I’ve used regularly for cross stitch. Unfortunately, DMC no longer produces scroll frames; and I wasn't keen on those tape ones. So, when I was on the hunt for a smaller one, I did a lot of research and finally decided to give Arabeska a try. Wow, it definitely didn’t disappoint! It holds the fabric nice and taut, plus it’s super user friendly. I’m really happy with my purchase!

Helpful Cross Stitching Tool
I bought this to use when cross stitching. It works quite well, but I do wish I bought a slightly larger size. My only real dislike about the product is the clamps that hold your fabric to the frame are a bit tough to put on. Though it's not a deal breaker for me. It also feels well made overall and the sturdiness you'd need is there.
