Impressive value-bag for the price point - worked like a charm (not just for hiking)
My hiking is the urban variety - trekking 7-8 miles daily across NYC streets. I'm used to carrying a big ole multi-laptop/carry-all/perfect for flying and the day-to-day grind, but it feels "deathly monstrous and bulky when walking" type of bag. I decided to change it up to see if a hiking bag was more appropriate. Definitely glad I did.The Neekfox allowed me to have something more functional for casual walks around the city (and more importantly, outside!) while still carrying my daily supplies (laptop, Switch, some cables, and on a recent occasion a Roland JU-08 sound module for a recording session). The first thing I noticed when opening the box -- this is a surprisingly well-made bag and a great deal of care went into making it. It’s not what I expected at the price point (an incredible value). The bag was folded into itself when first unwrapped - optimizing space even before it's being used to transport goods / food / water. Very cool.Pros:- Bag is super-lightweight and has a "barely-there" quality to it while still being sturdy. The description is on point.- There are multiple compartments to separate food items from larger bulk.- Reflective material on the backpack (I didn't have much use for this, but it's certainly not detracting from the bag and adds an- Water-resistant. I was able to go through some light rain with no issues. It doesn’t qualify as water-proof (nor is it advertised as such)Cons (and yes, there are a few):- The size. 35L is actually perfect for a daypack (and there's no issue here considering it's in the product description). The problem for me is I overpack anytime I go anywhere. This is more a product "want" than anything else and if you're in the market for a 35L (should be good for most daily activity), this is perfect.- The straps feel thin at first. While this is likely to be a positive for many other people, I'm used to bulkier straps and this took a little bit of getting used to. If you’re used to thinner straps this is a non-issue. Again it’s more of a personal preference than an actual “con”.I gave this 5/5 because the Cons are really points of preference vs. actual qualms.

LOVE this daypack - large, sturdy, perfect for local use, air and safari travel
I have three of these. Have been using the first one regularly for a year. Prefer it over pricier daypacks with padded backs unless I'm carrying my laptop. The fabric is textured and durable, more so than my first packable daypack. The daypack itself is lightweight, very sturdy, large, has lots of pockets for organizing, and takes a minimal amount of space in addition to its contents, which makes it perfect for shoving under an airline seat or taking in a safari jeep. I love the purple color so much I bought one as a spare, then had to buy a gray one to take on safari where it performed like a champ.

Perfect! Light and roomy
Perfect for camping, hiking, weekend overnight bag, carry-on bag, school bag. Very versatile, durable and LOTS of pockets and places to hook stuff. I attached my 1st aid kit. Flashlight. Sit upon and had extra water bottles in the side pockets. Along with everything else I needed for our hike. The pack was super comfortable and feather light so it didn't add extra weight to the load. It also folds back down to a small bag when not in use. I LOVE this AND it comes in TONS of colors

Lightweight, comfortable, great storage capacity and organization.
I bought this as a gift for my daughter in college. I'm very impressed with the quality and the great features, including some inner pockets that were not mentioned in the description. It fits her needs perfectly, and she loves it. If it will last a long time as well, I'll gladly give it 5 stars.Update: I came back later and ordered one for myself. It's lightweight, and I love the many pockets/compartments - well-designed. For FL, the water resistance is a big plus as we have daily rain showers. I especially love the deep, rich purple color of mine even better than I had hoped. Very happy with this backpack overall.

Broke down after a year…
But it’s a very innovative, light, and compact solution that I highly recommend.

Favorite travel backpack.
This is a surprisingly spacious backpack that fits nicely into it's compact little pouch. It's durable despite it's lightweight fabric. The only complaint I have is the thin straps. A little bit more padding would add a little bit more comfort for the shoulders.

Must buy for anyone who travels with just a carry-on in flight.
This is perfect for anyone who is travelling over a weekend with just a carry-on!Until recently, I was just a student - meaning I was plain broke. Any travel plans over the long weekend would involve booking the cheapest flight with no checked-in luggage and the a hotel/Airbnb reservation. This was perfect except when it came to the bag. Travelling with only one bag means, it along with every single item inside it has to be lugged around all day. This was tiring and simply, a pain.Thats when I found this. Being about the same size as a rolled up shirt, I could easily take in my carry-on, but at the same time, use it as a dedicated day-pack for my daily uses.Pro:1. Spacious - I was genuinely surprised by the sheer volume of the backpack. I was easily able to fit in all my travel stuff plus some more!2. Dedicated compartments - It has a dedicated laptop compartment, a compartment for glasses and valuables among 4 others (See my attached photos for some of them)3. Sturdy - In addition to a good fit it also comes along with an adjustable chest strap. This makes a day's travel a lot easier on the back.Cons:1. Being made to be packable, it lacks steel bracing - meaning that it wont hold a firm shape when its not full.

A great lightweight daily driver, or compact daypack
I got this bag as something light and easy to carry when I wasn't sure if I was going to need a bag. Going to food markets or days out where there may be stalls selling interesting stuff. You may come back with something, or you may come back with nothing, so a "proper" backpack seems unnecessary. So it does all that and more. Folded up it's not big, but it's probably too big to fit in to a pocket any smaller than a cargo pants leg pocket. Having said that it's light enough that you barley notice it.After a couple of times of using it, I have found it so light and functional it's become my go to bag, and I carry a bag most days. The two front pockets make it easy to sort and quickly access small items such as keys, snacks, glasses. the larger of the small pockets that is at the bottom has in internal secondary zipped pocket to keep more valuable items slightly safer. The side mesh pockets have comfortably taken 1L water bottles in summer, or hats and gloves for easy access in the winter. The main compartment is reasonable big, enough for a day out. I've had it swallow a full sized camera, a hoodie or fleece and a packed lunch without some room to spare. I've also used it to do small shops that have included heavy items such as cordial or pop, and it handled it well without feeling uncomfortable. The shoulder straps don't have loads of padding, but they seem to have enough to get the job done. The bag includes a chest strap to pull the shoulder straps in and make sure that they sit right for comfort. Some may say that it it missing a hip belt, but I think that it is of a size that you are not going to be carrying enough weight to make hip straps necessary. Having said that I have used it to carry 24x330ml cans to a party, and it wasn't uncomfortable for a 30 minute walk.Given the price and the light weight, I thought that once I started to use it regularly it perhaps wouldn't last more than a year. Given the price that wouldn't be terrible. But happily there's no signs of this giving up any time soon, and I've been using it close to a year now. This has proven to be a great lightweight daily driver. I'm pretty certain that it would make a good compact daypack for trekkers and people on longer trips, as it would take next to no space and add next to no weight in a main pack.

A very impressive backpack and perfect for my needs
I used this for a weeks hiking and have only praise for it. All of the pockets are perfect. The interior is a good all-round size and although I didn't go mad, it feels strong enough to cope with most things you could throw at it.One thing to note - I KNOW its not written that way, but if the description left you thinking it was going to be in any way rigid then you'd be mistaken. Maybe it was just me being thick. Ultimately I'm not disappointed because it was perfect for my needs but just in case...One thing I would say is that its foldability is its real beauty. But if you open it up and many days later try to remember how it folds back then just think "fold inside out and the bottom pocket wraps around to contain it all". Putting it back the way it arrived did feel a little like doing one of those Christmas cracker puzzles at first :)
