You have never ridden an e-bike like the Hollandia Evado 7! FIVE POWER ASSIST levels really get you going! You also have the option to shut off the motor, in which case the Shimano Tourney 7-speed derailleur will provide you with smooth shifting and even smoother riding. The 700cx40 tires provide a good grip on the road without too much rolling resistance. What is really unique about the Hollandia Evado 7 is that the motor by Bafang (36 watt, 240 watt output) has a capacitor and is located in the front wheel hub. This allows for a traditional crankset which means a lot less weight than you might see on many other e-bikes. The capacitor will also store energy, allowing for the lights to be on even while the bike is not in motion! This is an important safety feature not found on many e-bikes in the United States. The battery takes 5-6 hours to charge and has a cycle life of 500 charges. The Hollandia Evado 7 has a maximum range of about 25 miles per charge, dependent upon power assist level used and other conditions.

Loved everything about this experience!
1st day! Added Amazon at-home services for bike tech to build, fit to me, and educate about bike. Every single thing about this purchase has been just terrific. First the bike: ok, this is a lower priced very nice commuter ebike. My first ride was a 10 mile ride into town and back - quite a few hilly areas and a ride that has been difficult for me previously. I got a great work out and used assist only when going up very steep hills or pedal work load reached a preset work level, a level which is not adjustable. I averaged 24 to 38 mph using mapmyride. Very, very fun ride. Details about the bike: There is not a throttle - and this was my personal choice - I wanted a work out and did not want to lean on a throttle to go faster. Over 20 mph you are on your own. If you are looking for an ebike with maximal power and minimal assist - this is not the bike for you. The bike is one of the lighter ebikes out there, 54 lbs, this mattered to me as I wanted to be able to pick it up if I needed to. The pedal assist kicked in gently, there was not a quick thrust which I found disconcerting on other ebikes. This also means you will not have e-thrust when mounting on steep hills so be prepared to use your legs! The handlebars are the old-fashioned upright handlebars (vs my road bike with drop bars which I also love) and were very comfortable. I found the pedaling without the motor in an upright position to be very comfortable as well and definitely worked some different muscle groups than my traditional road bike. The description stated 25 miles was minimum with battery - I rode 10 miles with frequent assist on steep hills and battery sensor did not reflect any charge drain at all. A little bit about me: 62 year old female in good shape who works out daily, that is, I run, walk, lift, or something daily. I wanted a bike that offered minimal assist to increase my distances and make biking more pleasurable for me, while still giving me a great workout. This bike fits the bill perfectly. I will be getting a memory foam seat since the seat is a little firm for long distances and definitely need a rear view mirror. The only drawback is you cannot add saddle bags to back bike rack since battery is housed there so I have to figure that out so I can carry things like groceries. About the mobile bike assembly: Ok - this is fantastic!! I live in a very rural area and much too far from a bike shop to use their services. The bike was delivered to my front door by Amazon. Win # 1! The bike pro, Mike, from Velofix in Tiverton, RI confirmed the night before with a phone message and arrived on time the next morning. The bike was put together perfectly, and I was on it with a test ride in less than an hour. He spent a lot of time making sure I understood the bike, the battery system, charging requirements, weatherization, and fit. I can call him for service and annual tuneups as needed (additional services would be at my cost of course). What a great experience. I highly recommend the bike and Amazon home services!!

I'm 5' 10", a bike size 18, this bike is size 19, a really big bike.
No issues, effortlessly handled hills, mud, slush, dirt roads. Fenders kept me dry, except for shoes and the bottom of my pants. Took 6 hours to charge, no heated charger(had fire extinguisher and escape route planned), 3 hour ride, 75% charge left over. It's a really big bike, tricky to dismount at times. Battery rack capacity is 25 kg max, adjustable end legs to rack arrived broken, BikeAid hooked me up with new ones...good support. Keys are to lock battery in place, not an ignition key. Pioneer valley Massachusetts bike assembly was provided by Spring & Sprocket @ $1.00/minute and took 75 minutes in my home, even trued my front wheel...5 stars. Bike came with spoke reflectors, I added a new seat, and added some support to the adjustable end legs.

It's a nice electric bike
The bicycle arrived with a damaged front fender. Amazon wanted me to return the bicycle, which made no sense, so I called the supplier who graciously and promptly sent a new fender. This bicycle was easy to assemble and rides good. I thought I might need the larger frame size but the 19" frame is fine for a 6' fellow. It looks more expensive than it is.

Good bike, a few issues
Not to fault the product, but the shipper did damage to the package, which arrived without instructions, without the charger, and with damage to the battery rack frame such that the battery cannot be removed. This apparently has happened so often, the racks are on backorder and I have no idea when it might arrive. I've only ridden the bike once, but I'm pretty happy with it. Once I get used to the weight, I'm sure I will use it regularly as an almost 70-something who lives on a very steep hill!

Solid but heavy
My wife's bike. She likes it. Solid build & reliable. A bit heavy. Several months after the purchase, had an excellent customer service experience. We went on a trip and I left the charger home. Called the 877 support number. Spoke with a very helpful Steve. He walked me thru the options to get a new charger sent quickly. Very reasonable cost and very responsive 'aim to please' customer service! Thanks!

My wife would like one with 28 inch rims
The bike is very well made and biking in an upright position is a plus. It allows you to go over bridges and steep hills, when you need the added power. The battery holds up amazingly well. The charger seems a bit hot during charging. The size is for a person 5'10" or taller with the 700c rims. My wife would like one with 28 inch rims.
