Great front basket!
I love this basket. It's easy to put on and take off, and once it's on, it's super secure. It's a great addition to my commuter bike.Size wise, the basket holds a whole rotisserie chicken or two pounds of strawberries (as pictured). Also, I did not buy the matching bag, so sometimes I just put a reusable grocery tote in there and it works fine.

wonderful little accessory
I'll follow up in a few months time, but so far (about a week comprising 10-12 rides) I love this thing. I needed to detach and readjust my brake handles and cables to fit it on my old Trek 930. I imagine this might be a bigger (and perhaps insurmountable) issue on other bikes and for other people. I used the little shallow-u-shaped bracket (included) to ensure that it doesn't sag, and this thing is solidly on there. The little semi-insulated bag is ideal for lunches and snacks. And personally I think it looks great. One small gotcha was that my U-lock was long enough to rub the front tire (lightly) but I use a security cable too, so if I always put the security cable under the u-lock when its in the holster, the problem is solved (and it also helps prevent rattling).I also wish there were better ways to fit accessories on the basket itself (there is an single eyelet on the side that you can mount things with a screw, nut and washer, but, the you end up having to put something like Origin8 Eyelet Stub, Black (which BTW, doesn't come with a long enough screw nor a washer and nut). Its a little on the pricey side, but I was lamenting having to bungee my u-lock onto the trunk rack, because it doesn't really fit anywhere else on the bike. Design-wise, I was wondering why they didn't put the U-lock holster on the side close to the handlebars, to alleviate weight issues, but that speaks more about me than the product. All in all though it still rates up there at just shy of 5 stars for me. I guess I would give it 4.75 if I could, but I don't begrudge giving it 5.

little powerful basket
Installation took a while but that also means it's attached so well, it will be hard to steal the basket. It's super sturdy and hasn't moved a bit since I installed it. Perfect size to fit a cooler for a sixpack, also for a sweater and a purse. I just wanted a smaller basket for when I don't want to bring my panniers, nothing that makes biking any harder. Perfect choice, I love the basket. Also looks cool.

Brilliant design.
The media could not be loaded. Beautifully designed, compact, but the bag allows you to carry a lot! I can actually fit my helmet in the bag and close it. The U lock holder in the front is brilliant. This is my 3rd accessory from this brand, and I love everything I have purchased. It’s very clear that this company is very thoughtful about their products, quality, utility, and beauty. They clearly live bikes, and love what they do.

Nice Basket, clamp bolts not so nice
This is an excellent small basket, very strongly built and it is a nice fit for my 36" pennyfarthing bicycle. However, the M5 stainless steel clamp nuts and bolts galled and locked solid a bit short of clamping it in place. I'm going to have to remove them and replace them -- probably with stainless 10-32 hardware if I can't get a new set from the manufacturer. EDIT: PDW sent out replacement hardware *immediately* when I e-mailed them. With beeswax rubbed in the threads to prevent galling, it went together just fine and the basket is *great!* Excellent customer service. I recommend this product and company.(Galling is always a problem with stainless nuts and bolts and it didn't help that it was 40 degrees F when I first installed this basket. I'd suggest use of a suitable thread lubricant that won't attack the plastic in the supplied "nylock" style nuts. Beeswax worked fine for me.)The basket is great, the designed-to-fit bag is really clever.

Perfect bike basket
I really like this basket it looks sharp, handles a heavy load well, nice lined vinyl bag, tall enough for plenty of grocery items.Well I love it. Now the reason for 1 star is the price, You got to be kidding me. $115.00 for a basket thats made in China! The Tote has a tag inside that says Taiwan. It is equal to a $15. cooler you would buy from Wallymart. The basket appears to be constructed of powder coated aluminum tube. Only about 22 3/4" welds hold the basket together. 8mm stainless bolts were the proof to me the basket was not made in the US. Hey, it is a greatbasket but not at this price. If it wasnt for Amazons free shipping I personally would have never purchased. In my opinion this basket is only worth $50 bucks top.If it was hand made by a retired welder at a craft fair Yes I would have paid $100for it, but it wasnt. As far as that wood plaque with the pic of two bikes connected and going in different directions. I remember this from my childhood, A sign it is definately made in China. Wood Burning was very popular by the Chinese in the mid to late 60,s

Good little basket, until it falls apart
I used this basket on my main around-town bike for maybe two years. The handlebar installation is relatively easy compared to bigger racks and baskets, but it's still a fairly solid platform for carrying small bags of groceries and what not. The u-lock holder on the front is a nice idea, but I found that on anything short of impeccably smooth roads, my lock bounced and rattled dangerously. I got around this by wrapping a locking cable around the lock to keep it from bouncing around so much, but this ended up defeating the quick-draw benefit of the design. The basket worked great in this capacity for about year of riding at least a few miles most days, but eventually some of welds started to crack. For a time I was able to hold things together with gaffer tape, but eventually the basket more or less fell off.So, this is a good choice for light use and/or on smooth roads. If all you ever want to carry is your lunch or maybe an occasional six pack, it's perfect. For anything heavier, a more substantial front rack or basket with some sort of support underneath is probably a better choice.
