Well made - looks great- not ordinary ! Moves well on shower rod

We bought these to hang a shower curtain over a dorm room closet as recommended, and they do work for that and slide easily, but the clasp opening made it difficult to slip these shower rings over the tension rod. I am more used to a hook style shower ring than a clasp. There were many broken nails while installing because of holding the clasp open and then closing it again, and the clasps did not hold well if any tension was placed on the shower curtain. Once on, they look good, hold the curtain well, and slide nicely along the rod. I would just fix the clasp closure. Maybe make it more like a carabiner or a hook.
