Review
although well made, non-mar portion (jaws) are small. If any slippage occurs, steel portion can accidentally contact work piece and marr it.

Perfect for working on plumbing and cleaning rifles.
Love it.

Poor quality control
The plier I received is missing the plastic jaw pieces. I am sending it back.Edit: 2nd one I received had rubber jaws and working OK.

Not suited for plumbing
Jaws are way too soft for gripping fixture fasteners.

Great for armoring
They work well and appear to be good quality. No more using shrink tube on the jaws.

Would be 5 starts if the protective jaw did not leave the metal teeth exposed at the ends
Very nicely made pliers. They would be exceptional if the jaw was lined with non marring plastic all the way to the tip of the teeth. These pliers leave the metal teeth exposed at the ends of the jaw. How well they work depends what you're using them on. For my application the plastic protects well. However, the flatter the item that you are attempting to use them on, the greater the possibility that the unprotected metal tips of the jaw wail mar the surface.Update: I've had these pliers a little over a month and already, one of the protective jaws detached. I ordered a replacement pair and will fasten them with double sided tape. This should have not happened so soon.

Plastic pads do not stay in place
This tool works well but is somewhat frustrating because the plastic pads that fit inside the jaws do not like to stay in place. They pop out of the jaws very easily so I had to keep putting them back in.

Let down by the jaws
The pliers themselves are really well made and nicely finished, no complaints at all.The first pair I received arrived with one of the plastic jaw inserts missing, the replacement were complete. Unfortunately the plastic jaws are of a hard plastic that provides very little grip on a metal pipe, and you need to apply a lot of physical pressure to get enough grip. A shame since that's the primary reason to have them, and they're otherwise really nice.

Too soon to tell
May not need the tool for a month or so, which makes it impossible to rate th3 item. Please quit sending questions about items so quickly. Otherwise the only true review is unsure

Disappointed
The listing states “soft resin jaws.” In fact, they are hard plastic and do not grip smooth surfaces well.
