it helps me keep my daughters crayons sharp for when she wants to color.

We are using it with Crayola Jumbo crayons and it works great. I would not let small children use it because their fingers might fit. Ouch!I have an older child on the autism spectrum. We are doing a home therapy excercise that requires the use of jumbo crayons as a writing instrument. He really hates a dull crayon. I was sure I was going to injure myself sharpening them with knives until we found this little device. My fingers are much safer now.

I’ve shopped and this is the only BIG crayon sharpener to buy. Works great.

It works great for sharpening large crayons. However, it’s impossible to separate the wood sharpener from the cardboard sleeve. I’m strong, so I know that’s not the issue. It appears to be glued in as it doesn’t give at all. We’ve had this for a few months now and I hoped over time our efforts would loosen it, but it still won’t budge.

Coloring is a daily activity in our house and broken crayons were bound to happen one of these days. Poor orange crayon was the first to succumb to the toddlers might and the jumbo crayon sharpener hunt began. In the end this one was the winner. I had no idea how hard it would be to find a jumbo crayon sharpener. I did not have any problems sharpening or removing the top of the sharpener to toss the scraps. It is wood so perhaps the humidity makes a difference with that for some folks.

Very difficult to use. Expensive and not user friendly while having to chew up about 1/3 of the jumbo crayon to get it to a point again should your crayon break.

This crayon sharpener is perfect for sharpening jumbo crayons and it was easy to take apart when it needed to be emptied. I do recommend purchasing for use with jumbo crayons.

This is great my grand daughter who loves to color can now sharpen her own crayons. I recommend.

It does work and for thick pencils too
