THIS WILL NOT WORK. DO NOT BUY.
AmazonCA called this piece of junk an "Amazon's CHOICE" and I would sure like to WHO in Amazon ACTUALLY TRIED IT on a Nikon Coolpix P900 camera. In fact, I know that NO ONE DID. Not only that, but Amazon Basics sells the UV 67mm filter itself for half the price. This is really BAD merchandising. As everyone who owns a Nikon Coolpix P900 camera knows, the camera (1) does not have the proper threads to attach a lens hood. (This was corrected with the P1000, but it is not 67mm). Now, Amazon and B ig Mike's: if you want, you go right ahead and ask NIKON. (2) If you are able to jo a thread-jam, you can get the contraption on, for awhile, until it clatters onto the sidewalk or falls into the aisle of the bus. (3) HOWEVER, even if you DO manage that, you'll notice that when you press the power off button on the camera, the lens WILL NOT FULLY RETRACT. And if you don't know this, you have never tried this contraption on a Nikon Coolpix P900. When the camera is ON, the lens looks okay at rest. But when you press the power switch OFF, the lens should FULLY RETRACT, but now it CANNOT. Oops! THere goes your camera warranty! And this is an Amazon CHOICE???Well, people TRUST you guys. I have 2 P900s, and I'd already tried various ways to properly attach a hood. That was a couple of years ago, so I thought Big Mike's knew what they were talking about. As for Amazon, well. . . . But when this garbage arrived, I found a piece of paper explaining, ABSOLUTELY WRONGLY, that the 2-piece attachment was to first properly attach the ring (a ring is not a UV filter, by the way) so that the hood would then attach to the ring and--oh, COME OFF IT! The camera does NOT have the appropriate threads!! The ring will no more attach properly than the hood will. And here's this piece of paper giving out all this wishful thinking! NO WAY! Again, ask Nkon. Of course, you could GLUE it on. Maybe just pound a few NAILS in. Well, that's the new standard, I guess. And Amazon, if you don't like this review, pick up the camera and check it out."

Not made for 'my' Nikon P900 plus design/quality problems
For Nikon P900. I had to put the UV filter on the camera first then screw the non-metallic lens shade onto it. It was NOT easy and I had darkening at the extreme corners when the camera was zoomed back to wide angle. If you zoom out the lens slightly the 'vignetting' is not noticeable. It isn't made properly for the wide angle lens position. The hood is some type of plastic and its very easy to cross thread the thing. There is a locking ring but on viewing I could see the threads had been crossed because it was not level with the hood. The Nikon P900 lens cap just barely fit inside the hood but would probably fall out at first knock. It looks good but that's the only good thing about it. It will screw directly onto the P900 lens but it kept wanting to cross thread. Perhaps this was a return? I don't know. The UV filter is 'ok'.Sold by Big Mike's Electronics who does sell a lot of photographic equipment. Not happy with this at all

Do not buy!
I just got this today (3.20.2017). While the UV filter fits perfectly, the tulip lense will not stay on. I've tried for the last 30 min to get it on. Now the UV filter will not come off of my p900! Such a waste of money.
