77MM Digital Tulip Flower Lens Hood for Nikon COOLPIX P1000, P1100 16.7 Digital Camera

Fits NikonCoolPix1000. Did remove band on bottom of hood to attach it.

I was upset when my original lens cover blew into the lake and this was the exact replacement. I feel good taking photos again.

It is not a quick twist and lock, you have to screw it into the camera and it does take time to put it on and take it off.Not too happy with my purchase, I thin the description is not accurate.

I needed bayonet style...didn't no this was threaded...as much as i take off and on the plastic threads would wear down fast...plus peddles to long for me ...need shorter ones...all in all nothing wrong with product...would not work for me...very fast shippment....

I bought this not knowing there were different types of hoods for P1000. My old one that I unfortunately lost on a trip, attaches over the lens and could be taken off and reversed over camera for storage. Sadly this one attaches on the inside edge of lens, but because I already have a filter attached, can not be securely added. As far as I could attach it over the filter, the hoods also obscure view through the lens. I tried contacting the seller, but they never returned my call.

I bought this for my coolpix p1000. The product was marked 77mm, but it did not fit. I'm very disappointed because it looks like it was really made well, at a great price.
