Advanced Platinum Series P900 900w 12-band LED Grow Light - DUAL VEG/FLOWER FULL SPECTRUM

Love these lights! I wanted to wait until I’ve used the Platinum LED grow lights for an entire veg/bloom cycle before I reviewed them. I’m glad I waited because I am learning more about them every day. I use the P900s, P600s and P450s for bloom and I use the P300s for vegging. Everyone knows that LED uses less electricity and produces far less heat than the popular and inexpensive HPS/MH, but what a lot of people don’t know is the way plants respond to the LED in both the vegetative and bloom period. For example, I cloned some White Widow and Ak47 at the same time, put the White Widow under florescent and the AK47’s under the LED and within two weeks the AK47’s were twice the size with thicker foliage than that of the White Widow. You might say, yea that’s because they are different strains and one might grow faster. True, but they both strains have grown about the same in the past under the same lighting and just to find out for sure, I moved the White Widow over to the LED and within a week they were catching up to the AK47’s and looking as healthy. As a result, I ditched the fluorescent and purchased four P300s for my 5 x 5 veg tent. It gets even better. I also found that my plants finish a week to a week and a half earlier under the LED Lights. When put into bloom they flower within days instead of weeks. Think about it; in one year, three more blooms = big $$$. So how are the buds you are wondering? They are much denser/similar in size and I have the highest THC levels in the state as per the guy who tests my strains. He couldn’t believe the numbers I pulled compared to the rest of his clients. Four % higher than the best growers in the state. One last thing that I cannot explain, but I thought I would throw it out there anyway; I have less little flies than I used to? Maybe they don’t like the lights? Needless to say, I sold all of my HPS and fluorescent and now use all Platinum LED. Yes, these lights are much more expensive than the traditional light, however with the energy, heat and time saving, they will definitely pay for themselves. One word of caution; Don't put the lights too close to the plants. Even though there is little heat, there is powerful lighting illuminated from the bulbs and they will cause white burn on the top edges of the buds.One last thing. I have communicated with Platinum LED customer service several times and they are a class act. The pride in their product is evident in their voice and if I could rate them higher than a five, I’d give them ten.

Light is classic non-USA made grow light made with 5 year old technology "blurple" 300 3w single wavelength LEDs well marketed as "new". It is an effective grow light only directly under center for 2-3 plants; half of a 4' x 4' table receives inadequate intensity. In my opinion the new white-light full spectrum units by Fluence or Gavita will produce much greater customer satisfaction. Platinum LED stands by their 90 day satisfaction guarantee.

This light is working well so far, I've read many bad reviews about lights from Chinese manufacturers, I will give another review of this light, after 8 weeks, and another again after 5-6 months incase, the light breaks or if its not working well for vegging or flowering, so others will not make the same mistake I did.So its been a few months , i have to say that the lights are still working great. I don't have any leds that burned out and everything seems to be working just fine, the electricity draw is much more than i anticipated. But overall i'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. If you don't have light movers i would get smaller models of this light. They are large and cumbersome, much easier to spread the light out with more of smaller units.

Just started to use the light. My Tent poles won't hold the weight of the light. Light hangs down to low with wire set up they give you. Tent is like 6'6 tall and light hangs down to low with adjustable pulley and their 2 cabled angled hang set up. I had to cut holes in the top of my tent and screw eye bolts into beams. The Fan's make noise like a low hum. You can hear it even in the next room. So far I like the light, but need more time with it. I heard theirs like two types of these lights out their. One with soldered in lights and one with snap in lights. Hope I have the snap in one's. Heard that and not sure if it's true or not. You can touch the leds. You can feel very little heat from the leds. You only feel what heat it has to about 6 inches or less. These had green lights in them. Some ads say these lights are 11 spectrum and others say 12 spectrum. Mine is a 12 spectrum. Good luck growing.

Update 8/2017. Two (almost 3) complete grows with super results. In the veg cycle, my girls grow HUGE, and during the flowering cycle, some of the biggest buds I have ever had!!! Still extreemely happy with this purchase!Excellent product with excellent results. Replaced a 1000W bulb system (was using Eye Hortilux Blue MH and HPS 1000 Watt bulbs) and my girls love it!! Heat was a problem with the 1000W bulb system (more for the surrounding area, not inside the grow room) as well as power draw. This light fixed the heat problem and has a greatly reduced power draw (~200+ watts in veg mode, and 600+ watts in flower mode). Quick delivery and a good price. Although initially expensive when compared to traditional systems, life span of LEDs together with the energy savings makes this light is a very cost effective alternative in the long run. Plus your air requirements become fresh air exchange directed, NOT heat removal directed.Very pleased!First grow cycle almost complete. Will update this review once we get down the road a ways...

What can one say when a something exceeds your expectations. These lights are expensive and not everyone will want to pay this much. They are guaranteed for 5 years and if they last that long I would say it's were well worth the price. The light is built like a tank, heavy duty beyond what you would expect. I'm so please I went forward with the purchase and the most important part, my plants seem to be even more pleased. I don't have any heat issues with the lamp, nice built in fans that are quiet but effective. At the highest setting they seem slightly warm thats all. In an indoor space heat can be a problem so this is an important fact.
